two questions here i am going to ask about santro.

1: i am often driving my engine till 60km/h in third gear. and when i reached 60km/h then shifts to 4th gear. am i doing right?? anyone else doing so often or rarely doing so??

2: what is the symptoms of clutch slipping??

3: which brand and size tires is recommended for santro, in from where to buy? i want fresh tires in Rawalpindi/Islamabad

Revving till 60 km/hr is just fine no issues what so ever.
Lack of pickup specially moving uphills and on load too.
I'd recommend stock (company recommended )tyres for santro.

Hello guys, iv planned on buying a santro and have many in sight...

Whts bothering is my budget is allowing me a clean Santro Club GV (non powered mirrors n steering).

Is it possible that i buy a club and convert it to powered windows and steering (Exec) later when budget allows? Wud it be reliable and wise?

YES, it is possible will cost you an additional 25~30K at most. But reliability part remains an issue. I had done that with my previous santro but at the end i ended up buying an executive with genuine all that stuff.

My car's previous owner installed power steering in santro club three years ago, working very well, i have just changed the power steering flood and belt last month, working fine, i am very satisfied with its performance, the belt size was large when i gone for changing at twin city motor Isb so they told me to bring the large size belt from open market (very slightly large ignorable size), so i bought and they installed. they first try to install the santro exec belt but could not. my club is without power windows and i yet have to install, anyone had experience about power windows?? please share.

till date there is no issue with my power steering, the belt is japani belt i bought for Rs. 200/- the belt was changed because its life was over, and i changed it to be on safe side. the steering flood was also changed just for satisfaction, otherwise it was also fine. There is not a single issue with my power steering Alhamdulillah, go for it man.

another thing is that i have heard about power steering price was Rs. 8000/- round about. i don't know the current price, the power windows once i asked from sadar Rawalpindi some 2 months ago and the electrician asked for Rs. 7500/- for the four windows.

I think the production of new santro is stop from the November-2009 so there is no production for the last 10 months, do't know why? someone said at pakwheels that Dewan-Farooq is stop making cars for ever, someone saying that new shape i-10, i20 and getz are coming into production, i called Dewan-Farooq for there website complaint the person there told me that call our IT section and he gave me the number then i called them, later i checked the number given by that man is the number of Dewan-Mushtaq and they listening complaints about Dewan-Farooq, when i saw the Dewan-Mushtaq website there i found that Dewan-Farooq is part of the Dewan-Mushtaq Group of companies. they also shifted to some new location mentioned on that website, its mean that they are still alive and we hope we will see some good Hyundai, KIA and Mitsubishi cars in the future like Hyundai making the latest cars in India.

yar a simple and funny question, how to operate the rear screen washer?

To use Rear washer move the switch in opposite direction to which that starts rear viper.
Its hard to explain this way.
Take the example of lighting switch for instance. rear viper & washer works just like switching your head light on and off, while front viper & washer works the way side indicators do.

Hey all, i wanna share a D.I.Y with you people that went perfectly well....
I had a problem with my santro Plus 2002; The black color of the plastic body parts like were quite faded like side mirrors, wipers (plus the plastic base below wipers) and the black plastic sheet between the rear doors and hatch.
I thought to give it a make over so i went over to the paint shop and bought a can of "Matt black aerosol paint"
here's a a picture of how the side mirror looked like before paint job

applied a lot of "Newspaper" and duct tape to prevent stray paint from the aerosol CAN and applied the paint.

Let it dry for some time, filled in the holes... let it dry again for some time, removed the "raddi kaghaz" and removed some black paint debris (that still managed to espape on the main body frame) with use of patrol. here's the final look of the side mirror.
