yes, the problem is gone guys. Thanks for the response. I just used a carb cleaner spray and did a little DIY. Also cleaned the gas venturi, TPS and MAF sensors. But Now ive observed a little decrease in FE on CNG. Gonna do the settings again by myself.

Guys, i had an oil drain on Sunday... I poured the much hyped Petromin ultra 7 but frankly, i didn't like it... ultra 7 is 20w-50 and is very tough on cold start... engine is quite jerky even after 5minutes of warm-up... i'm planning to change it... again... this time i'll be pouring ZIC XQ (it's 5w-40) or some caltex SAE 5w-30/40...

i read your posts on that ZIC forum.. using ZIC A+ right.. from what i googled, 5w-20 is good for short term trips but would result in engine wear/tear in longer trips. XQ should be a better option for extreme conditions... i'm opting to switch on 5w-30 XQ...

Yes ive heard quite alot about 5w-20, But actually zic A+ is 5w-20/30. I was skeptic a bit as ive never kept hyundai before, But zic A+ is excellent oil for both seasons. Ive used it in my mehran from the day it was purchased. Even in scorching heat of june/july it performed really well. Zic A+ is a fully synthetic oil which even company recommends to use for more then 5000km, but i change oil and filter every 5000km regardless winter or summers.
Zic XQ is even better. Good for upto 15000kms, but i wont take a chance.

You are right... all those using ZIC A+ are quite satisfied but still, you may find things like this online...

Hello everyone.

This happened twice in last one month, that when i start the engine its starting motor spins but the engine does not crank! but on the second try engine starts normally, it happened only two times. what is the culprit?

another thing which also happened exactly two times in last Dec-2010, that automatic radiator fan does not start and the needle goes beyond the middle point. but when i start the AC then the fan switches ON and working fine afterwards even when the AC off. besides these two problems which occurred only two times my car works fine daily as usual.

Brother i just use ZIC 10-40w, Sameer's Ultra-7 is good but not for cold weather. The truth is that few days back one of my friend visited Chattar Madian next pet spot to Shinkyari for Tea Plantation assignment. He used same as ur mentioned Oil Ultra Seven. In night he parked his car out side the rest house on next morning due to cold weather engine gave starting problem.

On his return he replaced 20-50W engine with ZIC 10-40W and again on his visited he parked car in extreme cold weather . He told us his car was start on single self.
What I can say , U too do better judgement.

For 1st problem just check ur belts strength there. Also what was position of Engine Oil Light as well Engine Check Light on ur dash-broad.

In winter season when ur needle beyond middle point and ratiator fan are not turn on , its not problem for because ur engine are sucking cold air from nature environment. On other hand when U turn on ur AC then there were a load on engine and radiator fan are automatically start working.

I believe if the needle crosses the points mentioned in the odo then there is something wrong with your thermostat switch.
As per the fan it goes to direct when AC is turned on so thats not the way to check it.

Rehman CNG near chorr chowk is the best. for overhauling wait for the experts to help you out. also when you done the job of overhauling then please share your experience here so that everyone will get benefit.

2. what is the life of Brake fluid
3. what is the life of power steering fluid
4. what is the life of all belts i.e. generator belts, power steering belts, timing belt
5. what is the life of drive shaft, axle, brake pad
6. what is the life of AC compressor
7. what is the life of power steering whole assembly
8. what is the life of all sensors installed in EFI cars
9. What is the life of Air filter, fuel filter and spark plug wires
10. what is the life of CNG cylinder
11. After how much time one should get CNG kit and cylinder service
12. After how much time one should go for fuel injector cleaning, and fuel line cleaning
13. what is the life of whole clutch assembly or its parts
14. what is the life of radiator and AC condenser
15. what is the life of ball joint
16. what is the life of wheel hub
17. what is generator life
18. After how much time/KMs wheel alignment is needed

Some questions is looking stupid and the simple answer will be " when it start giving problems" lollllll but i need to know what is the typical life of that particular part OR your own experience that how much you drag that part.

In case of Santro it is total depend upon on ur already quoted " when it start giving problems ".
Don't Worry about all above queries otherwise U run away hundreds of miles from Santro if U know their budget cost, expenditure and time consumption upon repair.

I bought Genuine Trailing arm Bushing form Kashmir road Rawalpindi for Rs. 550/- each both cost 1100/- mine was teared because of frequently visits to Malakand Agency, Swat and DIR. Malakand and Swat roads are best but Specially Dir roads are in very bad condition, and my Bushes were local one bought for Rs. 200/- each, so went for genuine this time. hope it will work for long time. (shared for help)

U just waste Ur money on Genuine bush. They are do same work and have some life as a like local made, Because rubber are wear tear on Dir Malakand Road as same.

Today i faced a strange problem. i start the engine normally warm it up for 1 minute or so, then drive the car for some half KM, suddenly the RPM goes to its full range (like someone pressed the accelerator pedal full) i suddenly brake and shut off the engine, and then start it again and after 3 seconds the engine starts shitting again, people around me looking at the car that what happened, i checked both on petrol and CNG but the problem still there, sometime ran for 10 seconds and then start the problem sometime just after starting, then i removed the -ve battery terminal to reset the ECU but didn't work, then i let the car to idle at that high RPM for a while and after idling for some time it goes normal itself, and i drove the car for 20 KMs but it went normal.

1st Guess => Throttle Body problem
2nd Guess=> Auto choke problem
