@all, please check the throttle position sensor TPS using the following method. and share your results. I am sharing my result as well, which is I think okay. I want to check with your readings so that it will be confirmed that the sensor is working properly or not. I will also check other sensors and will share the results for other sensors whenever i find some free time, with this procedure we all fans will be able to check the sensors one by one ourselves.
THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) EFTC7130
The TP Sensor is a rotating type variable resistor that rotates with the throttle body's throttle shaft to sense the throttle valve angle. As the throttle shaft rotates, the throttle angle of the TP Sensor changes and the ECM detects the throttle valve opening based on the TPS output voltage.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
The TPS signal is important for the control of an automatic transaxles. Shift shock and other trouble may occur if the sensor is faulty.
If the idle condition or acceleration is abnormal, check the TPS connector. (When the TPS connector is not connected properly, the current data on HI-SCAN can show that the idle state remains off, although the accelerater pedal is released. This results in the improper idle or acceleration.)
Input voltage from throttle position sensor is below 0.1V or above 4.7V when ignition switch is turned on.
USING VOLTMETER
Throttle position sensor output voltage
At idle rpm
0.1 - 0.875V
Wide open throttle
4.25 - 4.8V
SENSOR INSPECTION
Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
Measure the resistance between terminals 2 (sensor ground) and terminal 1 (sensor power).
Standard value : 0.7 - 3.0 kΩ
Connect an analog ohmmeter between terminals 2 (sensor ground) and terminal 3 (sensor output).
Operate the throttle valve slowly from the idle position to the fuel open position, and check that the resistance changes smoothly in proportion with the throttle valve opening angle.
If the resistance is out of specification, or fails to change smoothly, replace the throttle position sensor.
MY SANTRO RESULT
Contacts points----------At Idle------------At full throttle
1 & 3--------------------2.91 K Ohm--------1.30 K Ohm
1 & 2--------------------1.99 K Ohm--------1.99 K Ohm
2 & 3--------------------1.17 K Ohm--------2.70 K Ohm
Contact 2 & 3 has checked and upon changing the throttle position with my hand the resistance was changing smoothly which means that the throttle body works perfectly. the resistance between 1 & 2 is 1.99 which is under the specs of 0.7-3.0 K Ohm. the voltage will be checked tomorrow and result will be shared.
Suggestions for the the next sensor checking are welcomed.
Thanks for reading such a long post.
