Secondly, the reason for people complaining about the extra noise is because the P Zero tyre on the Sonata is Mud and Snow terrain tyre. All season/M+S tyres are known for making high road noise and have a signature humming sound.

This is the reason people are replacing their tyres.
The Perilli P Zero Summer Tyres will work fine in my opinion.

I have never even used the front fog lights on my Altis lol. I usually travel on the motorway with a driver and the drivers use the fog lights even inside the city 🤦. Good to know, I will make sure it's never turned on and will tell the drivers it is related to the suspension and not to touch the specific button.

So you recommend renewal every year with the market value as base rather than ex-factory. Should I insure it on market value even now? That's around 8.2 million without registration. Or should the value also include registration cost?

Why would Hyundai Pakistan use all season tyres is beyond me, mud makes sense but then again who is driving these on muddy terrain? They would be mostly used in larger cities and motorways/highways.

Do you recommend immediately changing the tires in the showroom with p zero summer tires or even some other brand?

Here is my opinion regarding Sonatas tyres
If you currently feel that the tyres are hard this post is for you, if not then original tyres are fine no need to change. Its ones personal prefference.
I personally was a little let down due to the drive being bumpy, imperfections in the road were all felt in the cabin
The issue with stock P zero is that they are hard due to their function of being all season tyres and due to low profile.
I don't think their country of manufacturing (china) matters as quality control exists in all major companies, after all even iPhones are made in china.
I opted to get Continental MC6 installed 245/45/18
245 is the width and 45 is the ratio of sidewall with respect to the width
so it is 45% of 245=110mm
initially it was 45% of 235=106mm
Going from 235-245 the ride has gotten softer and less bumpy,Now potholes and cat eyes aren’t that prominent while driving
I didn’t find the original tyres noisy so didn’t really feel any benefit there
regarding braking, handling it was excellent before too and its the same. The car is phenomenal at turns
Aesthetically the slightly bigger tyres look a lot better
one point to note is that many have reported tyre bubbles, cuts in the stock P zeros. When I got mine removed I did find a small cut inside
this can happen to any tyre but it was still concerning
I recommend if you can get a good tyre (Yokohama, Michelin, continental) in under 70K go for it
As these tyres last a long time I think it’s worth the investment
Inshallah I will use my MC6 for at least 60-70K kms
I got my tyres for 55K
Original p zeros driven 700km were adjusted for 100K
Regarding fuel economy there is only a difference of 1.5-2%
drove the car on islamabad highway for an hour covered 56km and still got an average of 16 which is more than enough

I also got my Sonata 2.5 PPF installed from Protek care islamabad for 140k. its absolutely worth it, it has enhanced the gloss of my car and has saved the paint from many scratches. I have driven my 2.5 around 4K kilometers, if anyone has any questions let me know.

Firstly, congratulations on the car. I was a bit skeptical about the Hampton Grey color at first but after seeing it more, it has grown on me. Your car looks amazing Masha Allah.
I had a question. Did you get the whole car covered or just partially? Because the cost seems too low for Protek's complete coverage.

Sonata is a beautiful car and looks great In all colors, this time I wanted a unique, low maintenance color so opted for Hampton Grey

I got the entire car covered with PPF except
front and rear bumper,
roof pillars
And side skirts

The bumpers were ceramic coated and interior dressings were applied
This was their basic package and they charged 140K
This was done in December 2021 so I’m not sure about their rates currently

PPF was one of the best decisions as it really removes all stress of maintaining the paint.
Our house is frequently visited by our neighbour's cat and she loves to walk on the roof of our cars, our civic bonnet was completely scratched and there is really nothing we can do to avoid this
PPF has kept my sonata looking immaculate
Not a single scratch on the bonnet or any panel
It also has self healing capabilities so light scratches go away when exposed to heat

In my opinion PPF is must for any car worth more than 50 lakh and basic package is enough.
No need to cover bumpers and pillars

I am going to stick to the original tyres for the time being since I don't use cars a lot. Perks of being a recluse. My 2018 Altis grande has done 40ish K Kms. My car has arrived at Peshawar, just got the call. I will collect it in a day or two. It's a black 2.5.

Personally I find the Sonata a bit nervy and unsettled at high speeds on imperfect roads. It feels too soft and floaty on Lahore Ring Road.

Got the car in. Any idea how long the invoice takes? Car reached on Monday, if no paper work comes by tomorrow, I will just bring the car home. Doesn't matter without an invoice, right?
