Drive like a maniac and then blame the tyres. This is becoming a routine for people in Pakistan. Someone posted the same for a Sorento as well, which has Hankook tyres.

Based on my short interactions with the car.

Compared to other ckd sedans available in our market. It definitely has a very good balanced suspension, offering good comfort and maneuverability. The long wheel base also helps.
But since the front seats can move back A LOT to create huge space for the front passengers, the rear seat isn't anything special. In fact, I might rate a grande better in terms of being chauffeured around, due to the seat posture, height and leg space.

Sportage has much softer suspension compared to a sonata, hence more comfortable in the city. But the rear leg room again is just average.

My wild guess.

They're probably working out on its costing and profits. Since they know its a low seller high margin car for them. But 10mil then isn't a joke.

Tucson got an early increase because Nishat group just follow one rule with Tucson's pricing, which is to place it 100-150k higher than SPORTAGE simple.

Elantra and sonata price increase is on the cards. And my (blind) guess is Sonata 7-9 lack, Elantra 5-7 lack.
Nishat group is VERY GREEDY, just like Lucky. Don't expect any good from them

Hey guys - I've noticed something about my car that when I press reverse it doesn't automatically start going back untill I touch accelerate slightly. This was not happening before and the car is pretty new. Not sure if its an issue? Seatbelt is being used before someone assume its because of that! Appreciate your advice on this car vets

In Sonata , Brake hold remains on reverse as well unlike japanese ones.That seems to be the reason here.

If the vehicle detects an incline while it is being put into park from D it automatically engages the handbrake to prevent the the car from resting on the transmission

I'm close to getting the Sonata 2.5 but did have few reservation that i hope i can get an answer to here.

1. How many of you have actually experienced their Sonata going into safe mode (limping issue)? I have heard it comes after 10,000 km. What scares me is what would one do if you're on a highway with your family and something like this happens. Has Nishat addressed the issue with the deliveries that they're making now?

2. Do you really need hi-octane fuel for this car? As far as i know, hi-octane (RON 95+) is no cleaner than super (RON 92 that we've here), rather it has higher compression. So engines that require higher compression, like turbo charged ones, should be using it. For cars that don't require it, Sonata for instance, it is only a waste of money.

I think Nishat did a great job by bring the D segment sedan. However, more initiative needs to be taken in terms of customization of cars here. For instance I love the gray/black interior in a car but every manfuacturer here is obsessed with the beige that i really detest. To my knowledge, only MG is the one who gives you this customization option. Likewise, electric seats are everywhere, but no one is taking the initiative to add the memory option to it, which i would take any day even if it means paying extra for it, considering the convenience it offers.

Lads can you tell if you're facing a similar issue - underneath the car there is tons of space for in my example cats can get in and hide. My other vehicles are mostly covered underneath. Sonata seems excessively open? If that's the right word. If yes then did you do anything for it? Apart from getting rid of your cats or small dogs?

I don't know for Sonata specifically but I always tap like 5-6 times with the palm of my hand on the bonnet in winter mornings as small cats tend to hide inside engine bay. Can save one from alot of unwanted khwari and ofcourse money.

I barely go at 70-80 on my 1800 cc Honda and it feels fast. Travelling at 130 is nothing short of a suicide.
