This water splashing and pouring - to me heard when starting after over-night parking and it’s one time thing, then It’s all back to normal

Idk sir what u were previously driving before but even elantra 2.0 drives way smoother than better than 2.5 elantra. Pkdm tranny is different vs international variants and this car is so laggy, no proper pull a 15 year old mark X drives better

Both 2.0 and 2.5 lag but 2.5 still is way better. J experienced 2.0 only and that say i knew why sonata dn8 failed

Sir. I drove civic x grande all other civic models and all other corolla models. Talking about sedan.

Not sure what differed.

I didn’t feel the need to push the gas pedal hard enough in terms of acceleration when transiting or changing lanes.

It’s 6 A/T Speed and behaves as such

If we compare with sedan whether D or C segment - in our pakistani market - this is best in drive and overall looks and stuff except tyres.

Funny that people here are comparing two different car categories with a significant price difference with very different spec levels. People are used to just big three, that too just Civic, Corolla and City.

If it’s your post that i had seen earlier regarding civic RS AND burgundy interior - it was such a nice car but more nicer is sonata.

Sonata is offered with a 6 speed auto in Malaysia and Korea too I guess so probably would be the standard for asean market. North America is a different market altogether for all manufacturers. Even a laggy torque converter is a hundred times better than a Cvt in all aspects be it durability, reliability or driving pleasure.

To everyone looking out for sonata and getting the comments on 2.5 2.0 laggy difference between both; and this was the major reason, i didn’t want to upgrade from civic x - is totally false.

There is no penny difference on transmission - unless you want to jerk by yourself and putting gas pedal hard time to time, because it is not CVT and don’t expect it to be.

You sir are one lucky man if you can't feel any difference between acceleration/pick of civic & sonata.No doubt Sonata 2.0 is a beautiful & extremely comfortable car, but by no means does it come close to the driveability of civic. I would've gotten a 2.0 in a heartbeat for its price, but unfortunately like others the difference I felt was of night and day.

If I were you, I'd rather get my civic x checked up because honestly I haven't come across a single person (barring you) who says that 2.0 has no laginess as compared to civic x.

Yes that’s the whole dilemma behind everyone pointing out to 2.0 being laggy and 2.5 being less laggy.

I don’t know and this might be a bliss if I can’t feel it - be it lucky.

If there is certain reference on where does this car becomes so laggy (within context of RPM) please let me know, so I could point out the wrong.

How do you expect a normal A/T to work by the way?

I wish the laggy thing, people are referring would have been evident right away, because I can’t feel it.

I haven’t felt the urge to press-lift-press gas pedal again and again to merge with the traffic while accelerating like a tesla, if not less.

Sir something was definitely wrong with ur civic. Try a different car. I cant bring turbo in discussion as it nails sonata by huge margins. A 2005 markx was also conventional but it was a pleasure to drive.

Anyways, i always said that 2.5 and 2.0 are similar in most of cases. Elantra is also conventional auto bur drives alof better. Sonata also doesn’t hold its gear when shifter is used is areas where u need braking. U need to to drive on some track like babusar road and pray to Allah since u will never be able to properly use engine braking.

Now see this is the valid point which you have given, that shifter is of no importance when driving on hilly or sloppy areas, with regards to braking.
And this could be the thing and I will definitely look after.

But listen,
Mark x, which has become obsolete except fan boys who get it detailed, rubbed and sprinkled compound like a cosmetic - and still nobody knows outside of pak in terms of sale these days - we find pleasure in that car with old school cluster meter.

Same with turbo that almost failed and they had to detune to somehow work it in pakistan, and coupled with shitty leather, shitty infotainment, every plastic feels like rip off.

How do you compare those cars with sonata?

I feel it’s just one way love for civic from you guys only.
