STARIA, a MPV [ 4 row and 11 seat configuration for Pakistan] is identical to Kia Carnival under skin but visually way different. Staria is 206.8" long , 78.6 " wide and 78.3" high , with wheelbase of 128.8" and ground clearance of 7.3". Fuel tank capacity of 75 liters.
STARIA shares its platform with the current Carnival, the new Sorento , Santa Fe, Sonata and many other Hyundai -Kia group vehicles.
Hyundai Nishat will introduce / launch STARIA MPV as imported unit/ CBU from South Korea.
Price is PKR- 9,299,000/- for the 3.5L V6 auto "HGS" varaint as outlined in the attached pictures , the top of the line version. The 3.5LV6 MPI naturally aspirated engine makes 268HP/331NM of torque and it comes with shift by wire 8 speed automatic and paddle shifters.
Main features for "HGS" includes 10.25 inch digital cluster capable of Blind Spot monitoring camera display, 8" infotainment system, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless charger, dual sunroof , auto-dimming rear view mirror, dual zone climate control with rear AC controls and 10 way driver power seat controls . On exterior LED headlights, DRL & taillights, welcome lights , 18" wheels, power tailgate, power retractable side view mirrors.
For safety, 6 air bags [front, side and curtain ] , Traction control, stability control, hill assist, EBD, ABS, Blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, 360 view camera system as well as backup camera is avaibale. It looks like a regular cruise control is available BUT not the adaptive cruise or any other active safety features.
As per Australian fuel economy figures, the 3.5LV6 MPI has rated fuel economy of 10.5L per 100 kilometers [ 9.5 km per liter ] . Again these are under lab test conditions and in real life might not be achievable. Also in Pakistan, normally international fuel economy figures are also not relevant but we can take overseas numbers as guidelines.
A 2.2L CRDi/ common rail diesel , which is a Turbo might also be offered with option of Automatic or Manual. Detailed specifications and features are NOT available. The 2.2L Diesel makes 174HP and 430NM of torque.

As per Australian fuel economy figures, the 2.2L diesel has rated fuel economy of 8.5L per 100 kilometers [ 11.7 km per liter ] . Again these are under lab test conditions and in real life might not be achievable. Also in Pakistan, normally international fuel economy figures are also not relevant but we can take overseas numbers as guidelines. Additionally, because the engine is Turbo-diesel, an Ultra low sulphur diesel might be required and unfortunately our local diesels are not well refined and notorious for quality.
A base model 3.5L V6 Petrol might also be available and again no details on the features & spec. But it will be with a 3.5L V6 with automatic like the HGS varaint. The base model is priced at PKR @ 7,199,000/-.
Just for more information, KIA PK or Hyundai Nishat , imports the Carnival / Staria under commercial scheme and with 11 seats to qualify for the lesser duties . STARIA is available in AWD versions outside Pakistan BUT we will be getting the FWD variants only.
