I had been doing extensive reserach on my options for a car lease which included a strange combo of vehicles namely Grande 1.8, MG HS, Proton (but no Sportage as I don't like its shape that much). Left MG and Proton as uncertainty element is there.
So I finally finally decided on Tucson and came to this

I mean, how is it possible that they are refusing. Giving 1 Yr delivery time was a crappy move but this is astounding really.
Seems like Hyundai Nishat has a strange marketing team/strategy 🤷‍♂️

My dealership told me a week ago that there could be a delay in deliveries of Tucson due to car ECU shortage.

Hello everyone! Why has this thread been so dead.

Would love to hear about the car from people who have received their Tucsons. Need updates on the delivery status as well, I have mine in July Insha'Allah (Booked in October 2020).

If we start telling truth then some people will be unhappy.

Unfortunately from cheap marketing tactics (increasing 2 lacs immediately) to TOPI/Drama marketing & sales strategy (meet Mr. over clever “sales manager” at Korangi Showroom Karachi )

Furthermore painful/teasing service staff at the same place.

Furthermore lots of unregistered vehicles are standing on the showrooms then on the roads.

Premium is 6-8 lacs.

This is not possible without smartness of the dealer.

Am myself a potential buyer.
Planning to get a compact SUV with pano roof on lease.
Have scrapped plans for Chinese ones and Proton. To see how they fare in 2-3 yrs time.
So for me, for time being Tucson and Sportage are the 2 viable options.
But seeing the uncertainty, late deliveries dilemma and closed booking by Hyundai , might drift to Kia's side.
Although I like the exterior shape of Tucson more (personal preferences).

Yes right now HYUNDAI TUCSON the Best Brand & the local assembled Best Option (looks & options wise) in this SUV segment.

Hopefully Hyundai Nishat takes care of their goodwill.

Tucson and Sportage are identical vehicles under the skin.
On the exterior they are completely different vehicles and styling, interior, exterior is subjective and personal opinion but they are on exact same platform and the same mechanicals and other components . Both Sportage and Tucson are available with different engine types depending on market. Tucson has an edge of AWD system known as HTRAC. As far as size/ dimensions, not much is different between two. Both models are within an inch of each other. We can say Tucson has slightly more room inside comparing Sportage.
