Day-5 (29-8-2016 Sudhan Gali~Chikar~ Hattyan Bala)
After breakfast our plan was to visit the famous height “Ganga Choti” The road has been constructed up to half way and vehicle can go up to there. We also parked the bike there and took the hiking sticks and started hiking towards the height. In the morning the weather was sunny bad luck for us changing again to be cloudy and during hiking we met some locals they warned us that on the height it is raining if rain started heavily it will be very difficult for us to come back to Sudhan Gali so, we compromised and took some snaps and came back Sudhan Gali, packed our luggage and started traveling. Now our new destination was Hattyan Bala via Chikar road. From Sudhan Gali up to Chikar there were some very bad patches on the road but after Chikar to Hattyan Bala the road is just like highway or KKH because this is gate way for famous “Leepa Valley” and also connects Muzzafarabad to Indian occupied Kashmir (Srinagar) via Chakothi LOC point. In the past a bus service was started from Muzaffarabd to Srinagar but I think now it has been closed due to some security reasons. We checked in hotel Zam Zam Hattyan Bala. This is very beautiful and important city as located on the bank of Jehlum River and approximately 40 Kilometers away from Muzaffarabad. If someone wants to visit the Leepa Valley the written permission (NOC) will be needed for that area and Assistant Commissioner Hattyan Bala is the authority who issue the NOC for Leepa Valley. The Leepa Valley track is a tough track and dangerous to ride on the bike during rain.
