I need your suggestions on CHEVROLET SPARK

Although the car is 800CC so registration is cheap but CAN YOU TELL ME THE SPARE PARTS price & availability and what about the SERVICE from Chevrolet?

Its got the same S-Tech engine that was offered in Chevrolet Exclusive. Spare parts are easily available from market too. As for service then I'd recommend platinum motors if you're from Lahore. They are very good.

At that price i wont suggest buying this car, instead go for the crap Cultus.

Go for it and the suggestion is based on experience. I've owned both Chevrolet Exclusive and Spark and both are equally good. Spark is better on fuel efficiency. Consider build quality and safety that local cars don't offer!

PS: If you are resale conscious like majority, go for some local popularity!

No bro. Its got that same S-Tec unit. Since the Joy has been discontinued it means there will be a local made version of Spark soon because currently there is not other chevy that is being offered as locally assembled. So I hope Spark will be on its way to the plant soon. I'm not aware of any such plans of Chevy Pak launching beat here. May be the launch of Swift pushes them to start competition in 1.2l/1.3l hatchback market. Yeah Beat got the S-tec II unit which is 1.2l.

if i were u id go for the swift then, no body recomended u swift because u wanted a car around 7.

i noe swift is expensive at 999, but 06 ki Vitz @ 970 bhe koi sasti nae hai. secondly i like Swift more then the new Vitz jst my opinion urs can differ

^^chinyoti I agree swift is a good looking car but many people are saying you cant buy it easily with normal booking and and dealers are demanding 70,000 own..if you add that to a high registration cost + transport charge...right now a swift would cost you around 10 car + 70 premium +15 transport + 40 registration...almost 11.3 lakhs...isnt that too much ??

well if u have ur own company. book it wid ur company nd then sell it to ur self. the car is yours.

other wise leasing, thirdly u need a lil jugar in the company or the showroom probably, that sh**ts goin around for abt 4 yrs now.

also offer them mei investor hun pehle ek gari keraunga faida hua to aur keraunga. fir ap apne raste showroom wale apne raste tail leine jain.

above 3000KM on the clock now.
No issues what so ever so far.

Very Satisfied.

Dont buy any used car if you have enough money to get a new one be it mehran, alto, coure, cultus or swift or anything. It will give you 5 maintenance free years. With used car you will develop friendship with mechanics. Pls give consideration to this point.

you are right in the fact that new cars give trouble free life but unfortunately alto, mehran, cultus and cuore dont even have many basic features. If new cars were available with good features no one would opt for a used vitz. These days a lot of new suzuki cars have many problems as well.

congrats on buying the spark man. A very good car indeed. I don't understand why people are so reluctant to buy it. I think its the best new car in the 800-1000 cc category in Pakistan.

Meri Brand new Baleno 2005 ke 3 dafa batery change ho chuki hai.

u need to inspect wat ure buying, baqi ap ki kismat ap ka naseeb. a guy brot a brand new car (i wont name the brand and car) but after a jump the oil drainage nut droped nd the cars engine seized on its way to home from showroom.

Anything can happen in any car any time. The most reliable brand in the world, Lexus, comes with a warranty. That is why people prefer to buy brand new cars that come with warranty over used cars that come with no warranty. Both used and brand new cars might get their engine seized on their way back home from showroom but the one with new car has a warranty while the used one has nothing.

Santro has been discontinued.

when did this happen. what else will hyundai sell beside santro? is another car planned by hyundai

^^Well Deewan group is going through a crisis right now that's why it is not being produced currently. According to PAMA figures only 3 units were produced in September and October 2009 and since November it has not been produced.

I think its about time newer model is brought in though. Pakistan is the only place where 1st generation Santro is still under production(at least till Oct 09)...Xing and i10 two newer generations have not made their way to Pakistan.
