Iftar Deals in Islamabad

For dine-in, Tandoori charges 5% as service charges as per their standard practice (not 100% sure that the same is applicable to Iftar Buffet and I didn't read/remember the bill in detail as well), therefore on safe side, I added the 5% factor to PKR 888. OG definitely adds the 5% factor (service charges) and the I have depicted the same in my review (i.e. PKR 970 + 5% = 1,020).

went des pardes last weeknd with uni fellows.... i booked for 15 persons but due to some reasons only 10 ppl came....nd the manager there said we will charge u for 15 ppl.... well we argued him on this and after long tou tou main main...we won nd paid only for 10.... so i wana ask k ye kahan ka rule hey k jitni booking hey utne hi charge kroo?.... har jaga tou per head k hisab say hota hey...jitney loog us k hisab saay hi chrges lety hain....

That is just to discourage over booking done but PONKA deta hai inhe koi extra paysay!

heheheh well while we were arguing he said ok sir is waja say aab me kal say rule change kr raha .... we said u should tell us ur policy on phone when i was booking.... he said ok sir kal say hum rule change kr rahey hain jitni booking ho gi utne k hi charges....stupid logic

Please refrain from visiting 1969 as not only it's on expensive side (PKR 1,600 per head inclusive taxes) but the taste/quality is extremely mediocre apart from offering nothing special. For the first time in my life I experienced coconut powder spread/mixed with fruit chaat and it was almost impossible to recognize what's being eaten. Additionally they charge PKR 190 per glass for so-called fresh juices (flavours Plum and Peach etc) and the funny/ironic part is that even the juices were having traces/taste of coconut along with other aalabala ... one of my colleague commented as it seems it is a mixture/cocktail of all the leftovers ranging from apple to lassi and so on (nestle lassi also available for PKR 120 per glass).

At Tahzeeb, juices and lassi were included in the menu/price, whereas Tahzeeb is almost PKR 600 lower than 1969. Only plus point of 1969 is lush green huge lawns, apart from that I don't see any reason wasting your time and money over there.

Tried House of Bombay or Bombay House whatever it is in F-8. It was good

Also tried Mehfil restaurant in G-13. The sitting area outside was quite good while the food quality was also fine. Per head was Rs 820 including tax.

Meikong rwp saddar is good in taste and food variety.they charge 840 for aftar only and around 1200 for aftar *** dinner.recommended aftar only as aftar menu only is quite heavy and delicious.spending on aftar *** dinner wont be of any use as after aftar you will be stuffed

Went to KC Grill, we organized a Office Iftar.
We were on ground floor and AC were not working it was hot and humid.

Iftar part of the food was ok but dinner was not good.
Overall i will rate it average.

Going to Serena Today so lets see how it goes.

BTW this year I am making sure I dont waste any food. I see people around me getting there plate full of things but I only take very small portion and some time they do ask me yeh kia hai haha.

Went to Highland country club,which is situated on pir Sohawa road,for iftaar plus dinner.
per head cost was 1250.

I never had such sour iftaar experience ever.
let me share what happened.

The menu said following stuff and wht we got is written in front of it.

Herb rice with mushrooms-vegetable pulao wid carrots only
chicken with mushrooms-got chicken soaked in oil as a Karahi instead
mutton tikka-they were not there
hot wings-cold stale wings which were for sure fried atleast a day before,as they were hard like leather
Assorted vegetables in Chinese-(I think they dun exactly know wht this dish is)
beverages-they served the most dilute form of tang n Rooh Afza...lol they had no courtesy for some nestle even
all in all worst place to go..please don't spend ur time n money here

Manhattan - G6/4 embassy road.... Excellent food 10/10....a bit expensive though but all justified with the quality of food presented
