Have you tried to use the generator since returning to see if it works?
By the way, the loud clunks on each bounce you hear may also be the Ali's broken silencer in the rear dala as well as the metal frame of Shabab's postable bed! (A)
However if the generator is non-functional now than it may well have been the generator ! :-#
