We started our return journey on 18th July, around 10:30 AM.

Some random shots on the way, from our public jeep...

were still chasing us, even on our return.

This time we encountered a roadblock...

We had reached this spot, between Janawai and Jandar Seri around 12 Noon, hoping to make it to Sharda before Asr but a dumper had broken its shaft on a slope and there was no hope of moving forward.

For over four hours, we were stuck up..

And during all this while, the only vehicle that made it through was an AJK Education Dept. Potohar...

Finally around 4:30 PM, we were able to board the public jeep that had arrived from Kel and after swapping passengers was now moving backwards.

A hopeless sort of wait lasting over four hours could never have been welcoming but the kids enjoyed even this dismal episode to the fullest...

I dedicate this thread to my friend Hafiz Muzzammil @Mozumbus, who yesterday morning has achieved an unbelievable feat of making a Non-Stop dash from Karachi to Taobat in 39 hours (this must be a record in Taobat Road Trips).

This amazing marvel was accomplished while travelling throughout by public transport and that too with his family which includes his kids aged 2 and 4.

Their travel plan (or I must say Plan of Attack);

Monday 18th August: Departure from Karachi (6 PM) by Night Coach www.Pakrail.com

Tuesday 19th August: Arrival at Faisalabad (11 AM) - Departure for Faizabad by Skyways (12 Noon) -
Arrival at Faizabad (4:30 PM) - Departure for Muzaffarabad by Qadri Skyways (5 PM) -
Arrival at Muzaffarabad (9 PM) - Departure for Taobat by direct public jeep (9:30 PM) -

Wednesday 20th August: Arrival at Taobat (9 AM)

They will reach back in Karachi by 7th September inshallah.
Will be anxiously waiting for an excellent thread on this incredible trip by him.
