they can still use winch to load/pull it on with a tow truck or pull it with another car.

I do not think variant of 7th gen civic in Pakistan had any immobilizer. Next two gens have it though.

My friend has a Honda Civic PTO 2011, yesterday i was surprised to note his driver was driving the car with local (desi made) key.

LOL's..............you know what it means, the car does not have a immobilizer.

Well I recently purchased Daihatsu MIRA and it has immobilizer (I believe). I only got 1 key of it and planning to make a duplicate key also to use as a reserve. But according to above posts, it not possible to use the desi/dubplicate key.

What's the other way around or what shall one do in the unlikely event of lost key?

civic 2011 has an immobilizer, i dont know what has he done with the car if was able to start with an ordinary key. Anyone ?

Bro you don't need to get worried. Just go and have some spare keys (1 or 2 your option) you will not face any problem. Car will start easily. This system was in platz and civic 03 onwards n we often used local made keys so chill n relax.

a trust worth adult servant / driver with a weapon sitting inside the car is the only immobilizer that works in pakistan.

you dug a 1.5 year old thread to defend a Chinese car you might have bought? I don't see that local Toyota lacks any feature all variants of corolla now come with immobilizer except XLi and airbags in that Chinese car are useless as it scored zero chest protection in CNCAP tests that is worse than some cars that don't come equipped with airbags.
