please, lets not derail OP's thread. just one thing though, ALL the developed countries were huge polluters when they were undergoing industrialization. now that they have achieved that, its easy for them to tell other countries to clean their act up. with all the new proposed regulations regarding environment, who will pay the costs? not USA or Europe, but developing countries like China, Brazil, India, and Pakistan(if we start developing that is haha) etc. moral supremacy is easy to achieve when you don't have anything to lose. im not saying we should go all out on destroying the environment, but that we have to strike a balance, this is a complex issue.
