Heard a lot about new brands KIXX, PTT Performa and ZIC, i never use these brands because they do not have any strong distribution network, like in case of Shell/Total/Caltex i know at least they have big investment in Pakistan and around the world further they have spend lot of money on research and development for making lubricants i think, plus they exist in our country from multiple decades and people are using them successfully. whats the strong reason to chose new brands. i realize this after the same claims by Caltex today.

But key point is the freaking quality of the oil which changes country to country. I can furnish million examples for that.

Unluckily in Pak. less than 30% people are selling good oils. Vast majority is still making money like hell and deeping down their own graves by selling fake oils with geniune company stickers.
And almost our whole nation is running after the commercials. Instead of increasing our knowledge aboit the oils, we are just following the freaking commercials n nice advertisements without knowing the reality.

And in this situation if some imported company introducing and brought their new oils,then we should test them atleast once to compare the quality w.r.t local oils. And ig results are good, then why should not go for these good quality imported oils?

I had same comments like you before using imported oils. But now am totally convinced with the superb results and satisfactory functionalities of engine with imported oils.

Giving a try to these new oils is not v. risky or harmful for the engine as long as the viscosities are same.
"Progress never comes without change". Therefore, just giving a try for once can bring better or far better or similar or lower results as compared with the local oils.
Its true that spending more money (to buy imported oils) doesn't make much sense for a regular consumers.
But no local oil is running over 4K in Pak. If someone is using local oils, even high grade, more than 4K in Pak. then engines may not be happy for the long run.
While using imported oils in relatively engines may bring better results and covered mileage factor can be 6~7K min. "All what we have to get courage is to try them".

I have just heard about this oil but never seen its bottle even to dig out the further details.
By the way, name shows Castrol as Pak. manufactured for sure. And Magnetic seems their new brand name.
Perhaps Castrol is well known company in world, but here in Pak. mostly Bus & Trucks are using this oil. It has almost zero dominance for gasoline engines.
But Alas!! majority of us, immediately start running to buy such oils after watching their repeated telecast commercials on TV or advertisements on roads. Whereas its 100 times more important that we should understand to feed our car with the oil what it needs. Not what commercials are showing always.

Bro i haven't seen any add of it on TV. Very few shops have this oil and this is imported oil not locally packed one. I think which i bought was imported from Dubai.
And btw I saw Vin diesel and Paul walker pouring this oil in their cars in Fast and furious

ryt now im using caltex havoline 20w50.i dont hav any prob wid it but i cant say its v gud or bad coz its my 1st drive n i never tried any oder oil...owned the car just 5 mnths back...
n i live in haripur for temperature comparison u can say its same as islamabad..
i thnk these r enuf detailz for sugsting a suitable engine oil(includes brand,grade n viscosity)
n one thing more i want u to suggest me two oils one local dat i can easily get from somwot smaller city lyk haripur n one imported oil so dat if i hv a tour to isl i can get it from there.

technically the oil has to be of SL grade for gassoline because engine is 1999. But it could be hard to find this oil. And as you are already using 20/50, so technically if you will feed any low viscose oil to your car now, then it may produce extra noise.
So situation reflects that you should stick with 20/50.
Even if you will use liqui moly 10/40, it will not bring some good results for it.

i suggest you to use the 20/50 but of following companies.

Ptt performa 20/50
its red color very dense oil and shoots down all the extra noises. Your engine will stay cool like ice.

Or

SIM3
its Malaysian oil produce by leepon.
Very thick and dense and nicely suitable for older engines.

if car does not reduces the oil, then can also try 20/50 of liqui moly.
There are two/three types of 20/50 they have. Just choose the old one and dont use the latest one. I repeat, choose the old one.

You can find the original liqui moly in f7 (i believe so) in islamabad. But go for www.liquimolypakistan.com call them and find their original distributor in islamabad. Hope it will save your time as well.

They have two brands in 20/50
sim3 & sim4. Viscosity of both oils is 20/50.

but sim3 is bit high graded with respect to the performance than sim4.

i bought at 4800/4l (the first picture of the bottle, thats in the indigo color) from original liqui moly shop of muslim town morr, lahore.
Yes, oil prices in karachi are slightly less as compare to other cities.
