Importing a car to Pakistan as a gift

I am a member of an online car auction site in UK where people bid from many countries and i have seen people from Pakistan bid on cars as the country of bidder comes up when they place a bid as it is a live auction.
some of the cars they bid on are well over 3 years old just yesterday two bidders were bidding on a vauxhall corsa 2006 model that went for £350 but their bidding stopped at £300, just last year I was bidding on a qashqai for my wife and then suddenly i was competing against another bidder from Pakistan but this car was more than 5 years old so I was wondering if these bidders win how do they get the cars into Pakistan

if the country flag of bidder is shown due to IP address it is plausible.
But there are Pakistan Nationals living in many RHD commonwealth countries and dealing in automobiles.

one of our respected member is in South Africa he bid & buy across the world many RHD suv & other cars. another member @CrashD is also very well versed with UK vehicle auctions.

I have no idea if it is the IP but there are bidders from all over Europe bidding and their flag and country comes up, if they bid they mostly bid on German and French cars which are older models that they take from UK and break them for parts

sending anything like parts and other items is so easy and reasonably priced because there are now a lot of courier type Pakistani companies in UK

It may be easy regarding sending them from UK to Pakistan, however, when they reach Pakistan, and are at port, custom clearance, etc. I fear things might become difficult.

ok lets try another option then SUV 48 months old hybrid engine 1600cc would you calculate that to 22550 less 50% =11275 less 48% bringing the duty to 5863 USD
And when was anything easy in Pakistan I have been trying to get this information for the last 4 weeks
and only now have I got anywhere after meeting up with you guys on this forum.

Brother I cannot do the exact maths and calculations.

I can only guide to sources / links for calculating customs duty, and they already have different filters in them for sorting out things.

Exact amount can only be confirmed from Pakistan's Customs Department, I believe.

no problem brother I'm just getting an idea of possibilities of course i will get figures when I can find my cousins number who is a customs officer at Karachi airport but reluctant to ask him direct as he may think I am trying to ask him to do anything illegal using his position and contacts

Aoa sir I had a few questions regarding import of Vezel, I have recently taken a job in the UK alhamdulillah, and am planning to move there in Sep. I was wondering if I can gift a car to my father or even import it in my personal name so he can drive it. He has been through a lot in his life to see me where I am today.

The car I want to import is Vezel, preferably 2018 above. The few questions I had were:

1. Can an overseas Pakistani fulfilling the remittance clause (sending money to Pakistan and residing abroad on a work visa) import a personal use vehicle from Japan while residing in the UK? This is because only HR-Vs are available here in that segment...

2. Is the depreciation discount per month added to the base rate for Hybrids? So for eg. if I get the vehicle for $15k, and pay $11275-(11275 × 24% months) = almost $22k?

3. What is the complete procedure please? How does one register for an auction? And buy the car from japan if not physically there?

4. More importantly do you have to hire a customs agent here in Karachi? Physically go to the port? What happens next?

I would really appreciate if you could also put me in touch with someone who has imported a Vezel for personal use before? They might be able to help me out

Honda Vezel is an SUV crossover you see them a lot on pak roads these days (especially in islamabad), here the price for a 70-90k running 2016/17 model is between 40-47 lacs currently.

Now I could in theory be better off buying it here in pak without the hassle but sadly with that kind of mileage its hybrid system takes a hit, it's only worth driving upto 80-90k max and then selling it onwards.

For low mileage later models, people are demanding 5 million plus, and I figured I could probably save myself around 7-10 lacs going through the hassle of importing a car... just didnt know exactly what the procedure was and wanted advise from someone who has done it may times before... thanks
