Thanks for the info about oil. I was planning to put havoline too, but now I think i'll use zic synth.

knocking improves a lot with mixing hi-octane but on the other hand it also will give higher burning temp in cylinders which is not a good thing and can cause serious engine damage if used too frequently.

your navigation sys screen is a lcd screen and cd player can be turned into vcd player by some mod done by local car audio shops.

Naweed bhai dont go for zic synth...
just yesterday i have changed my engine oil to havoline for the first time and believe me that it's drive is completely changed.. and you can ask any mechanic but for vitz engine oil everyone recommend you to go for havoline oil..

And please also tell me what is throttle body :^)??

Thanks brother, I think synth oils have lesser viscousity than semi-synth or mineral oils. Overall synth oils have better cleaning agents and better lubricants. The combined effect is harmful to vehicles which have been using non-syth oils as cleaning remove slag from working parts and create more friction/play resulting in engine blow or increased noice with reduced life. Therefore synth oils are gen not recommended after 50km running. "IF SOME EXPERT could confirm this theory". When and where I read it i don't remember now

Reply to your question regarding throttle body was pending as I was trying to look for its pics on the net. Throttle body is a simple unit with butterfly and sensor to control air, location is given on page 4 of engine control system on the site address given above by k2vitz for yaris manual. just remember sensor tips are very delicate and may malfunc if damaged.

Generally, vitz automatic silencers are black. I have yet to see a white (brown) silencer. still it would be a hit and trial effort.

1. cat removal strongly recommended
2. clean throttle body
3. clean O2 sensor fitted near cat
4. Tyre pressure .... car wash
5. Oil change
6. Improved driving habits
7. Even there is efi injector cleaning and adjustment but that is an experts job.
8. fuel filter cleaning.

Lastly and most important a prayer ... hope you'll get a good economy or else i certainly will be on top of your hit list

Aoa dear naweed. I bought vitz 2006 1.3 and milege is poor, i used all the steps accept map sensor and O2 sensor cleaning and also cat was absent in my car i installed kabli one told to me by toyota 3s motors. The economy eemains still the same which is 9.5 to 10.5 in both local and highways whether ac is on or off What do u suggest me to do?
