Improving headlights performance?

I know this is an old thread but instead of starting a new one i thought i should first try here and see if someone responds.

Going to change the bulbs of my Cultus 2011. The existing ones are bought from Suzuki dealership and installed like 4 years ago.

Reasons to change are:

1- Existing ones are not as bright and throw distance is not as much as i would like to be due to dimness. Headlights adjustment is fine at the moment so not an issue there.

2- I am sick of others who have high powered bright headlamps which almost renders the oncoming traffic blind when at high beams. I am hoping that if i have bright light then it will compensate to some extent and improve visibility in this situation.

So by replacing the bulbs, i am hoping to achieve bright light and when at low/high beam, it should lit up objects at longer distances. I wont go for HID as it is illegal and i dont want to put others in danger.

I have narrowed it down to the following:

Get eurolite bulbs from a good spare part shop, you'll love them

If you are from Lahore then can you please recommend one or more shops where Eurolite is available?

Also, just found out during my research that Osram Cool Blue Boost 100/90watts H4 (first link) is highly not recommended as it gives very poor visibility.

Not sure about visibility but you'll definitely melt your bulb harness/holder, eurolite is widely available so you wont have any problem finding one

Watched a review on Youtube which recommended against buying it (first link - Osram Cool Blue). The publisher of the video has reviewed and compared many bulbs (maybe other things as well) so seems like a guy who knows something about the subject matter.

I dont want to do online as the price seems on the higher side for all products i believe.

LED bulbs in H4 housing might not work. i am suggesting osram night breakers coz i have first hand experience since i am using these in my car.

If you really wanna go for LED try finding ZES chip LED bulbs. philips ones will cost around 20K so doesnt make much sense to me. u can try some other brand though and share your experience.

I have read on various posts on Pakwheels that halogen bulbs dont last longer (Osram or Philips). They typically fuse in under a year. How is your experience with Osram Night Breaker so far?

If they really last just a few months then considering their price, this is like 5k to 10k of expense every year.

Do i need to use a relay with OSRAM H4 Night Breaker Laser 150%?

Brother i have Margalla and i have used Philips Xtremevision 100%, Narva Range Power Silver and Osram night breaker unlimited.

I have also used Koito Japan 90w/100 Bulbs. They r the cheapest upgrade, a set would cost around 700 Rs and lasts a life time too. also easily available in local market.

Narva range power was just bluish no extra visibility.

Philips xtreme vision 100% had polarized more clear visibillity but no extra illumination.

Osram night breaker unlimited 120% have proved to be the best so far. more illumination and better visibility at night.

for all of the above mentioned bulbs none fused over couple of years used (if the wiring of the car has no issues). i am still using Osram night breaker unlimited and they are working perfectly fine AL HAMD U LILLAH.

now currently available best halogen bulbs on aliexpress are philips rally vision 150% and osram night breaker laser 150%. u can choose any of these.

I have quickly checked on Ali Express. Seems like Osram Night Breaker is available between 25 to 28 USD. The price difference is not that much from the Pakwheels link i have shared earlier.

I am interested to upgrade to 90/100W but first i want to try a non-invasive method of just changing the bulbs as suggested by Thinking.

However, can anyone please provide further details of what it typically involves. For example:

1- What wire to use?
2- Length of the wire?
3- Will the stock head lights be able to bear the heat?
4- A relay required or not?
5- If you are from Lahore then any suggestion where to get this procedure done (workshop)? If not then maybe others from Lahore can suggest who have embarked upon such an endeavor in the past!!!

A friend of mine is using 90/100 watt bulbs with aftermarket headlamps in a margalla.

Genuine ones should also be fine.

I can do it for you in Lahore. A proper kit can be made which doesnt butcher the stock wiring. Rather it plugs into it.

But it will take me some time
