Temperature was really good there otherwise it was a hot sunny day.

Had some negotiation with the staff for room to stay but there was some "Party" of "Saab log" in evening. So "awam" was not allowed.

This disease is all over! At Karen, we were not allowed as some muftkhoray sufaarrshi were arriving. At khewra and pind dadan khan's pmdc guesthouses, we were not allowed to rent a room as a judge was enjoying free with his family and because of security reasons, guest houses were like sealed. This year at astore PWD guest house, we were made to wait until 6pm though they confirmed that there is no advance reservation at gilgit. They were afraid that some influential surkari swine may jump in for ayyashi!

Very true, we have also encountered this a number of times.
At Banjoso lake, whole Rest house complex was captured by chief justice and their "Hawari's" for days, even when they were not there.
At Gorakh hill, now there are a number of rest houses. But none of them is for public. Only for higher ups and their guests.
