Income Tax with Token tax

I have bank leased ICT registered Honda City and today I paid annual token tax Rs. 6200 of which Rs. 2500 are income tax. My question is, I'm Govt employee and my income tax is cut from my monthly income, the car is on bank's name. Why this additional income tax?

you can give that WHT receipt to your HR Section for tax adjustment in the next salary.

Under Bank HP Agreement your name is mentioned over the documents., as long as installments are on time it will remain your property and you are responsible for payment of Govt Due as applicable.

With Holding Tax = WHT That is adjustable in annual tax return

what about those non-resisdent pakistanis, having foreign income and exempted from income tax?

I was talking about the income tax that's being taken along with the Token Tax.

i understand that this income tax is refundable giving this token receipt to HR section of the company and they will adjust it into next salary. But for those non.residant pakistani what are the options.

non residents / residents filling annual returns can claim adjustments, of any WITH HOLDING TAXES aka WHT; always.

How its adjustable in salary, I mean by which law. Is it written anywhere? because our HR says this should be concerned with FBR. We have to cut the tax against your monthly salary.

download from fbr website IT-3 form fill out and attach the receipt., Tax deduction from salary is U/S 149 by the employer, and if you submit the IT-3 form to your HR for adjustment of tax paid It shall be adjusted by HR in preceeding month.

OR - you can seek adjustment in annual tax return ( only if your HR dept belong to TINTIN class )
