Although it is stated in the booking order but even then this clause can be questioned and brought up in the court of law as it is absolutely unfair that due to their delay in delivering the car to the customer, they can charge whatever price increase they want in a future date. And that to from a customer who had no knowledge about how much the price can increase at the time when he/she was booking the car or otherwise he may not have bought it. For example in this case, if Civic Oriel owners knew that they will have to pay 50k more, some may have bought Grande whose prices remained unchanged. It's completely unfair.
This practice is against the basic rule of exchange, where a person enters into an agreement to buy from another party at a price that should be fixed at the time of the transaction and cannot be open ended as price is one of the main factor due to which a person decides to make the transaction. The practice adopted by Atlas is an example of blatant exploitation of customers who cannot do anything but to accept this clause.
Competition Commission of Pakistan should be awaken from its slumber to take action against such unethical practices followed by this oligopolistic nexus of Atlas, Indus and Pak Suzuki.
