Initial D is very popular in South Korea and China. In both countries it is telecasted on children TV channel in thier respective languages, i.e Korean and Chinese. In these countries there are shops dedicated to Initial D stuff which sell merchandise such as stickers, T-shirts, action figures, car race track models etc dedicated to characters of this series. I also see it sometimes if I get hold of TV remote control from other family members, but that is quite seldom.
