I can make the idea work, as in it wont be problem to find a smaller diameter pulley and a smaller belt would also not be a problem..the thing is, would it work? How bad would this be for the water body, would it decrease the life of the water body if yes then by approximately how much? :s

I had to buy a new condenser anyway, so why not get something better than the stock (as it the usual case with mehran).. thats why i'm inquiring.

Well do this.

Install fan infront of the condensor and make sure radiator fan is also good speedy one.

Than get radiator cleaned and put 2 bottles of caltex coolant in the radiator.

And try it now..

Prob is not how much water can water body push throw the system its how fast can radiator cool down that water so engine stays cool.

In my charade i installed qabli japanese 3 nali radiator now on highways i dun even use my radiator fan with A/C and it still stays near to C mark.

A lot of people told me to get 2 channel one but i searched everywhere and finaly found it in peshawar. Bought it for 3500 Rs.

I've considered that thingy, but the problem is.. there is no space to put in a 3-ROW radiator in the mehran's bay..:S installing a fan on the condenser would alone take quite a bit of thinking and time and finding a fan thin enough would be an awesome task since the people in the markets aren't really helpful

So, installing a good fan over the condenser, maybe I would change the stock radiator fan as well.. that would make things better.. than do the pulley mod as water would be cool enough to be able to cool down the engine with the water body pumping it faster..

BTW you can install coure's qabli radiator in Mehran when i was searching for radiator for my charade everyone told me put coure's radiator japanese its very good and it comes with good fan,

BTW do put atleast 2 bottles of Caltex colant after u have completed the alterations

I would say here that using AC in Mehrban is almost killing it, one AC and other Mehrban Radiator and its Coolling is not up tp the mark.

If you still want to use AC with mehrban i suggets change the Radiator and add Condensor almost infornt of Spark Plugs and add fan from market not the stock one with COndensor as i saw one mehrban with this setup and its working fine.

Always add Coolant not Colored water for that Caltex of Toyota/Honda Coolant are much better.

Nice info, i am also thinking to do some upgradation to my car ac. Did u searched for the original condenser? was your condenser choked etc. Cause my condensor is looks heavily choked. Tried to jet wash it but i think i have to sacrifice the gas and uninstall it to get it real clean or maybe replace it. But i still prefer original one as things are very cramped behind my grill because of the turbo and stock downpipe.

Well why dun you try installing condensor of Alto?

The Charade original will only work with small compressor of charade cb23 engine. For any other engine like people put 1.3 corolla engine that will put too much pressure on the condensor and every now and than gas leakage prob will keep on coming.

Ok guys.. been there done that. I bought a new sanden condensor, silver colour, thinner but MORE lines.. more fins yayy.. Also bought an 8 inch fan to mount it infront of the condensor.. and the result is good till now.. One thing I forgot, is to buy a new orifice valve my electrician didn't have one so he used some old he had.. which is working just fine, still the cooling is much better than before.. but I'm sure if I get a new valve and re-fill the gas, I would get much much better results.. So far, i have been happy with the A/C and the temperature doesn't even goto the mid it stays below that, almost always.. Keep in mind that I'm tackling the heat of LAHORE!

Vaqas, I have a question, the orifice or expansion valve which is fitted in the evaporator box, how much is cooling is effected by it? I also get a 'seee seee'' sound coming from the evaporator when I turn the A/C on.

If expansion valve is chocked this can cause whole system to stop working properly other than that that see see sound is normaly comes.

If ur ok with the cooling than let it run.

If you want to channge it than get the eveporator cleaned install new valve and also change dryer bottle or they usualy call it filter bottle.

Yeah, I will do that next year, from my experience, that 'see see' sound shouldn't come, the expansion valve isn't 'spraying' properly if that sound is coming, as it has to be a REALLY REALLY sharp spray that sound shouldn't be there.. if that sound is there, its not spraying sharply enough. Normally it has to come when you turn the AC on but after a few minutes it should just go. Anyways, I will let it run like this for the season.. Next year, it would be time for the expansion valve and the drier bottle.

And oh, one more thing, do you have any idea that what car would have an 8inch fan? I want to buy a kabli one since the one I bought is already going bad 600 wasted. And how do I check if the fan is running good or not, I mean when I'm buying the kabli one..

I have a Sanden compressor, and my electrician put in some R12 as well, first he filled R134 then he put in some R12, why did he do that? is ok, I mean, would my compressor be harmed in anyway?

Interms of cooling R12 is better than R134 but R134 is new gas and better for environment.

Only big difference is the oil both uses hmm i dont know why he changed gas like this. BTW why are you getting all the A/C work done from a Electrition? Why not some good A/C mechanic.

Not sure about the fan yaar but why dun you try the new Corolla Fan i dun know how big is that but seems slim to me and it will cost around 1400 Rs. Not sure if that will fit in ur car.

Waisa Fan dun fail that easily and the one you got show it to your electrition in some cases these can be repaired.

How to check well other than the condition and speed testing baki guessing he hai like smoothly rotate ho raha hai there is no play in the bearing or any noise.

Umm, he is an a/c mechanic, a fine one at that.. Its just that I have to buy the parts myself, or he rips the ASS off I bought the condenser with fittings, the 8inch fan, condenser to drier line and the condenser to compressor line all for 6500. All new and original from the sanden dealer. If he bought that stuff for me, I could have beeb billed 8000 only for those things, while I spent 9000 total on my AC.

Yeah, he said that the fan could be repaired, and now I'm confused as to should I get it repaired or buy a kabli one.. finding an 8 inch fan shouldn't be a problem..
