That's my point, you need to visit a tyre shop asap after you get a flat tyre even if you have replaced it by full size tyre.

You forgot another very very important point.

If you are placing this donut on the drive axle and are travelling on the highway then you have another issue. To replace a drive axle punctured tire and if you only have a donut is a 2 step job, you need to unmount a tire from the non drive axle and place the donut there and place the full size good tire you just removed on the drive axle wheel.

I personally HATE this wheel. its completely useless and a pain to work with - I like my spare wheels to be full sized.

And nowadays manufacturers are even cheaping out further by not providing a wheel at all - they just give you a pump and a bottle of sealing gel - what good is that when your wheel looks like this.

In this case, I agree that donut tyre is not helpful but a real PAIN You have to change 2 tyres you may need 2 jacks as well to save some time And about the last thing you mentioned the automakers are NOT giving spare tyre at all. I guess those cars are equipped with RunFlat tyre because sometimes the tyre is burst and then air pump & repair kit is totally useless.

I also like full size spare because our roads are more like off-road tracks, spare won't survive very long unless you're driving on 7th Avenue in Islamabad

You need to visit local tyre shops, most people leave that donut tyre when they get alloy rims but the shop guy will try to ask as much as 3500-4000 Rupees for it. Don't pay more than 1500-2000 for a donut tyre and make sure it is NOT damaged. You may look for Pakwheels Ads section, someone might be selling one. Make sure you get the correct size, Nissan Dayz is not a common car in Pakistan.

someone was smoking pot when they mounted it - the tire should say temporary spare on the rubber itself and also have the inflation spec on it too. Dont use that wheel if its what you say it is.

cars with run flat tires have nothing at all, no jack, no wheel spanner, no spare, the tire is made such to carry the car to the next service station.

the pump and gel are being given with cars that have regular tires on them, The reason is to save weight for better fuel economy and also lower total cost of the car, (no jack, no wheel spanner, no wheel, no tire) - all add up for a nice chunk of change in the larger picture.

as I said - new car buyers are mostly looking at the cars like this

and dont care if half the necessary items are missing.

^ since you pointed out the more rpms thing on the donut tire, I'd like to add. In both my vitz the donut tire is an inch bigger then the other 4 tires.
