As you know Daikin is super expensive, what is the other option in inverter. I really like the 1838S Kenwood spec wise.

Suggesting non inverter AC based on one specific example is being stupid. What is guarantee that for non inverter AC won't develop such fault. Being electronics it can fail anytime for any reason or it may last for decades.

The energy savings for an inverter AC is substantial as compared to conventional specially if usage is high.

Also quality is more or less same for all local AC brands (including all Chinese). What matters is proper installation for longevity of AC. Have it installed properly and it will serve you well.

sir ,frankly speaking,stay away from any other brand.if you want an inverter ac other than daikin.
i can quote you so many examples of all other brand intalled by people and cursing themselves later.
LG made in korea was a good unit,but it is not availaible any more since very long,same like mitsubishi heavy industry AC units.
buy a non inverter unit and be happy.

sir if one visits HASHOO CENTRE abdullah haroon raod,and than to LINES AREA old ac market. one will come to know that market is flooded with less than year old inverter units of haeir,gree,homage aka kenwood.and you would not find ACSON and orient unit because even the second hand dealers wont buy it .as they are so pathetic.
on the other hand you would find 5 years old LG,MITSUBISHI,PANASONIC units in good to pristine condition ,and people demanding insane prices.this is because of something ..........I guess so.

and yes exceptions are there.people in pakistan does not give consideration to the dimensions of place where they want o install AC,so that one should buy AC having required BTU e.g 12000,18000,24000. instead majority will go and buy 1 TON unit.and in this case INVERTER will never ever work.and if you buy non inverter it will some work to a good extent.

Still, that's not a valid indicator of quality. As I said electronics can and will fail regardless of type or technology, some more than others but all will eventually.

Such markets would always be filled with these items, regardless it's for ACs washing machine etc etc..

Or are you saying that such markets didn't exist in the pre inverters AC era or that inverter ACs didn't fail in operation?

Regarding brands, it's simple mathematics, more the units in market = more failed units you'll see, more feedback you'll get from such owners. Unless you have % failure rate from each brand, I don't buy this logic. What's the % of sale of ACs of Daikin, LG etc. I'm willing to bet all these international brands combined won't even account for 20-30% of total units sold each year.

Go for Non inverter, if too many people in a room, Inverter will fail.
If cooling leaks. Inverters fail.
inverters are expensive, tricky to repair if kit problems and cooling is not at par with non inverters. No match. But if u can save colling leaks then inverters may save a bit electricity. But i guarantee u. U will not be satisfied with inverters in terms of cooling.
In other words to make u understand. Inverters are mummy daddy bachay. Non inverters are khootay.

I have 1.5 ton Haier Inverter UPS series. Room size is 12x14. Bought in March 2020 @84000 pkr.
Running non-stop day and night since last month.
No problem so far.

why would so many companies manufacture ac's that leak cooling .. where is the flaw in design .. if one company would hire me i would fix the issue once for all in no time

Cooling leaks mean room not properly insulated from celing n roof n doors and windows etc.

If we can save the cooling from leaking from a room. The AC will have to work less and cooling will be stored kn that room for upto 1-2 hours during loadshedding.

Lots of factors in pakistan yo consider.

One electricity low or high volt boom from wapda and these inverters can get failed. No copper piping from outdoor to indoor unit will later lead the gas to leak as silver will crack or break easily.
Insulation from the roof side.

My friends 1 ton mr slim non inverter mitsubishi makes the room so cold even at temp set at 28degree C or even 30 that guests leave the room to get warm. And its been like this for 4-5 years. And once a relative of his got bypass surgery. So doctor recommended one month stay in cool place. They gave him that room. AC ran 24/7 . Bill on single meter was 10k.

there r certain design parameters followed while manufacturing an ac .. like vent or duct temp .. too cool pipes will freeze .. air will choke .. too hot and it wont take out moisture .. so if i remember correctly then ideal duct or vent temp is 4-7 deg C. next comes blower size and speed .. which dictates the throw of cool air .. last is size of evaporator .. the bigger the more the cooling and obviously its size is as per tonnage .. even the BTU is based on some criteria .. there is no difference in a conventional ac or an inverter in terms on cooling (with respect to tonnage) .. its only the working principle which is diffrent .. BTW mitsubishi mr. slim is 13000 btu which is slightly higher than 1 ton ac (12000 btu) .. only orient and mitsubishi sold in 13000 and 19000 btu category

Sir those were the days when misubishi and lg units made in Korea were available.i have lg installed and alhamdolillah not a single leakage ,or gas refilling since 2006.clean it's evaporator with foam spray and pressure washer every alternate season
