You are wrong here. Ac never trips if you lock amperes even at 2A - 3A and even temp outside is 48. It will just drop BTUs and keep running at fixed amperes. This feature is designed for running ACs on small generators.
AC should be programmed to keep dropping amperes instead of tripping irrespective of outdoor temperature. This thing could be achieved by monitoring indoor temperature and frequency of compressor.
This requires quality programming and grip on how circuitry works. Chinese copycats fail to polish the features.
When outdoor temperature is high it is obvious AC will not drop amperes too much. But fixing it for certain outdoor temperatures and tripping compressor is the worst thing to do and nullify the advantage of inverter AC.
