Started to read this long thread. and have some couple of questions.
1) I have seen most of the AC's mention that they are Full DC inverter does it mean it is 5D DC or 3D DC?
2) Am looking to buy a 2 ton inverter AC and after reading some of the msgs on this thread i have noticed many people are recommending TCL T3 Pro. is there any other better option than it in terms of less electricity consumption?
3) Also anyone knows any good shops (knowledgable sellers) in Lahore?

Look for a unit that has a generator mode to limit consumption. 2 ton TCLT3 oro has this feature , and can limit at 4 Amps/ 6 Amps/ 8 Amps
Midea is another option you can explore

in paki market, even 3DC acs are marketed as full dc inverter
is that a deal breaker or red flag? in my opinion, No
you can get any 3 or 5dc inverter

yes it's a decent option, my 2022 t3 pro is still doing well, in use 24/7 in summers, in winters. 18 hrs a day

midea xtreme is a decent option too, consider that if T-pro isn't available

Nope. Don't do that. New 30 watts fans are just crap.

Can someone guide about latest information on DC fans in 2024.

I have a few DC lahore fan but problem with them is that their slowest speed is still quite fast. Is it possible to fine tune the speed to be more slower?

I have lahore 30 watt fans, same problem on point no 2, 1 is too slow, 2 is quite fast, in March-April and October-November this can be annoying

Can a Hybrid MPPT be used as non Hybrid ie. without connecting wapda input and ups lead.
Mppt would be connected just to the battery, UPS will stay as it is.

I have a problem.
I am using haier 12snf model
I have changed location of ac and attached 10 feet extra pipe and placed outdoor 15 feet above the indoor by using 20 feet pipe lengths.
Machenic leaked some gas when he was detaching manifold bcs service valve was stucked.
After that i have refilled gas from a machenic and he put pressure of 110 and soon electric failure occured.
Machenic detached manifold and said that gas is charged (he charged vapour side)
After that when light was recovered i tried much but compressor is not taking its full speed.
Can gas go back to cylinder when ac shut down (power failure) during gas charge?
What can be the best solution to overcome this issue..

As add on to my previous comment.
I hv checked it now i.e 10 pm at this time ac vent temperature was 11.9 with full fan speed (not turbo) and return pipe was all wet and cool.
Why ac is not cooling like this in day time.
Day time there was no moisture at return pipe.

For inverter the rule is about 1-3% of total capacity.

Need a bit of guidance on vacuuming during installation.
1. I understand it is must for a new AC, meaning no moisture should remain when installing afresh. How about when we are moving an existing AC to a new location. Same deal?
2. Does the length of the pipe make a difference. Some 'technicians' like to sell the point that AC units that are installed adjacent (outer unit right behind the wall on which the inner is installed) do not need vacuum as the distance is short. Didn't buy it but want to check if any technical reasoning for this.

If we follow the correct practice in installation (vacuuming) in Karachi, and also do preventive maintenance (1-2 times service without removing the units), how long should we expect a brand new unit to work without any leakage etc (Gree, Daikin, Midea).

you should vaccum regardless of pipe length. new ac or old ac.

i have 01 dawlance sprinter inverter. 10 years old now. installed with purging method. still running on original gas, never opened. serviced with pressure washer in same installed position without dismantling.

01 kenwood 1838s, installed with vacuuming, no leaks no problems so far. around 5 years old. serviced on site without dismantling.

01 haier inverter, around 7 years old, installed with purging, rarely used. no gas leakage, no service needed either. mostly stays off. but works without any problems.

That's an excellent performance history with different brands. Why city are you from, since that could have made the difference. I am from Karachi btw.
