I am using Orient Inverter AC Ultron 1.5 ton at home for the last 3 months. One day its cooling is fine and the very next day it does not cool at all.
Similarly, I got installed the previous series i.e. Orient Prime 1.5 ton at my office 5 months ago which stopped cooling after a week and has been working very similar to my home ac (cooling some days and not cooling the other days). Since then I have been calling ac-mechanics day in and day out but to no avail.
Anyone else experiencing this sort of thing from Orient Inverters?

I have been using the same model as you for the past 3 to 4 months, cooling is fine Alhamdullilah. I use the AC for 18 hours. The only problem that I have faced till now is that it's horizontal movement grill has stopped working and the technician said that plastic parts are not included in the warranty.

Make sure your voltages are stable and if you are using a stabilizer, remove it and plug into the outlet directly.

I am so happy to choose Orient Ultron Plus 1.5 inverter, running strong since end May, day and night, just shut off during loadshedding hours and the bill for the month of August is just 11,621 rupees along with a 1.5 ton PEL conventional ac in second bedroom, run mostly from 11 pm to 2.00 am . Keep checking settings on remote. Sometimes the keys of dry mode, just fan, or heat mode or clean mode etc are pressed. One night I went into my son's room and the ac was running but the room was warm I checked on the remote it was on heat mode because during sleep my son's hand struck with remote Also switch off all timers. Always call company technicians for AC problems.

I'm planning to install Kenwood KDC 1804S eInverter. Room size is 14x16 uper portion. Its price is 70k at Metro Lahore.
Although Gree 18CITH2(W) is also shortlisted and in very close price 73k, but my heart is on Kenwood as more reliable brand.
What you experts have opinion for it?

Kenwood is best, I am using even old model KDC18S from 2 years, Alhamdolillah no complaints at all. My room size is 12 x 14 top floor.

i have the same Gree g10 1.5 ton in my room and its working non stop since 2 months, i would highly recommend gree great performance and cooling

AoA guys. I've been reading through this thread and I can't quite make up my mind. I need a 1.5t a.c but I'm not sure if I need an inverter or not. We don't have loadshedding much here (maybe once in a few weeks there's some issue with line or transformer fault) and low voltage isn't an issue either. Usage is about 10 hours in peak summer but around 4-5 hours for rest of year. Also the a.c would be run on about 20-21?c temp. In this scenario does it make sense to get inverter or skip it? Also, everyone obviously likes their own purchases but am I correct in assuming that Gree has fewer reported faults then orient and then haier? Any input would be appreciated.

The answer is, only when it reaches set temperature then it refices compressor speed to lower consumption..
21 is not an easy temperature to achieve and maintain but if you set normal ac at 21 then for Inverter you'll feel the same at 22 or 23 even.
btw 27 is a really good temperature for inverters as it maintains it unlike normal acs which would go to 26 Trip then restart at 28

Mine is set at 25C ; I am more concerned about the dehumidification of the room whilst the ambient temp outside is 27C at night.

Normal ACs are a higher inductive load on the national grid too ( due to thier constant tripping and restarting protocol) thus attracting a higher power factor adjustment in the utility bills.

That is one other dimension in favor of inverters!

I recently replaced Split AC units in my home, two 1.5ton Panasonic and two 2 ton daikin. When i turn on Daikin unit consistent white fog comes out for around 4-5 minutes and then vanishes away. My previous Mitsubishi Electric and Fujitsu General splits didn't do anything like this. The panasonic ones don't do this.

Due to low voltage issues i.e 180-190 volts at my home i need to buy a new voltage stabilizer for my 1.5 ton general window Ac. Kindly guide which brand to buy and from where in Lahore. ? The old stabilizer is dead and can't be fixed.

Well i had same problem of low voltage in my house, but in the start of summers instead of buying new stabilizers i installed two inverter ac and moved the conventional acs to less used rooms.. now voltage is around 160-170 but still both inverter acs run good..

Rather than complaining and getting the low voltage problem fixed. You are going towards other very interesting solutions.

Sir m not suggesting anything here.. i just shared my experience.. other than low voltage issue the reason i opted for inverter was to reduce electricity bill.. with one conventional 1.5 ton my bill was 14-15k but with two inverters and with increased usage my bill reduced to 10-11k monthly..
And for low voltage problem don't u think i would have tried everything possible.. but of no use..
