Hi, i have read most of the comments and need some help regarding 1 ton ac. Which will prove to be best? House is on ground floor, its 4 storey apartment so no direct sunlight. I have searched market for d inverter ACs but shopkeepers are suggesting pel or kenwood models though im not satisfied with their opinion. Please guide with model type and prices of 1 ton dc invertor (local manufacturing as im on a tight budget)

I suggest you buy 1.5 ton air conditioner unless your room is really small. Its a fairly long term investment so 1.5 ton is better as over time some efficiency is lost anyways and it will remain effective with excellent throw in all seasons.

Called today to freinds corporation and umar electronics on murree road they said orient ecomfort is for 53k.

Didnt confirm anything order is still pending. There is no wifi in it. Even if its bluefin and old model. Its still better to buy this model over 1 ton new model

I do have to buy 1.5 ton for living room but not buying it now as for the room i need is fairly small. Previously had kenwoord non invertor 1 ton for same room which had extreme cooling. Planning to buy 1.5t in winters when hopefully prices go down a notch.

I'm searching market since yesterday. I Have been Cancelled the daraz order. So finally got the deal. Orient ecomfort 1.5 ton inverter latest wifi model gold fin in silver colour for 53k from friends corporation sadar rawalpindi.

oh great i am also interested in buying this model or either orient which ever comes in price range. its not availabe with few shops i visited. but info i got regarding it so far is that its the imported model of haier, is it so??? and price has reduced to 60k as quoted by shopkeeper. i might get 1-2k discount out of it. but he said prices might go down further as prices are regulated every month???

i got the price of ultron classic of 58k. shopkeeper says it comes with lifetime warranty but as i inquired from there fb page that lifetime warranty was for online customers and that too in month ramzan.
did you inquire about it from your seller??

i will also confirm from there service centre tomorrow.
and yeah do share its performance. like cooling, amperage at particular temp setting and one more thing, does it cool at low voltage by itself or you have installed an stabilizer??

So which installation method should I go for. The one with vacuum pump or just the simple without vacuum

With vacuuming. That's the proper way of doing it.

Small portable vacuum pumps are available for 5-10k rupees but AC installers do not want to spend a dime to purchase them and do proper installation. Pretty greedy in nature these people are. The outdoor unit stands they bring with them, they do not even bother to paint them. These stands start rusting within few months and are prone to fall with vibrations and weight of outdoor unit.

Has anyone experienced abnormally high electricity bill this time around? Ours was 13k last month and it is 19k this time around. AC usage etc has been pretty much the same as last month...

No, bills are normal and as per usage. Just check you meter for 2-3 days, tarrif 1 & tarrif 2 readings and see if the meter has gone defective. Same amount of AC usage can still result into different amount of electricity consumption as it depends on ambient temperatures.
