thanks for the recommendations, yes samsung / panasonic seem better options. but issue is of after sales service and availability of parts. and i live in interior sindh, so there is no availability on local shops. have to order online.

can you guide me, how do you deal with the online purchase of air conditioner. never have bought electronic item online.
i.e.
1. warranty claim: if there is no after sales service in your city of particular brand, then how does the company assess the fault and get it claimed???
2. warranty voiding: if i order online, then i will get it installed from local mechanic, does it void the warranty??? and if complaint arrises of no proper cooling or any other faults, do the company take care of it or just they blame the installation???
3. tubes/piping: does company provide the required pipes for installation in online delivery, as i read somewhere that imported companies doesn't provide with tubing.
i think this dilemma is because i think many brands have no after sales service and especially in the far fetched areas. so we have to unfortunately settle with local brands and local purchase.
how do one counter these issues of online purchase in both local and imported brands???

its better to call up the seller and ask.

normally i would buy either from daraz flagship store only. or the Pakref guys have an outlet in karachi as well.

if you also check the websites of kenwood and pel, they are offering delivery and installation (at least pel is offering installation as well as delivery free) i think dawlance is also doing same.

if you get the chance, do try to check the maximum amperes this ac draws at full load.

there is some ambiguity, its rated at 7.2 amp standard cooling. but the last row says something like 13.2 amps... this is strange. there should be only one max amp reading written on the ac.

i have a kentax 1.5 ton non inverter, 10 years old. its max running amps are 9.3 amp. it never does more than that.

i also have a dawlance 1 ton inverter 6 years old, maximum running amp is 6. and it never went above 6 amp.

If u r from Karachi, Samsung Service Centre is a Big Problem since some third party is takinf care of their complains in karachi.
One of my colleague's Fridge had some issues and it was under warranty, becahre ka sab gunha dhul gaye the.
It took almost 2-3 months to get repaired.
Multiple laug dekhne aate rehte the from service centre, call lahore main attend kerte the. It was all messed up system.
It was all in 2019, check now.

well, yeah, after sales service and customer service are poor in our kind of countries. there is no such practice of consumer protection. bas yehi chal rha hai. or mujhe lagta hai aap koi brand lo, sab ka haal yehi hai. akhir ye sab brands chala to hum pakistani hi rahe hain na. to mentality b wohi hai. company ko kia hai, uski product and target meet horhe honge. agar nhn honge to chali jaegi.
some brands might have a better sales service but it will not be up to par.
ab karein to karein kia. uper se i live in interior sindh, yahan to model bhi log dekh kar nhn lete, or bechne wala bhi naam bata kar bechta hai. to after sales ki to umeed hi nhn. dealer kisi local ac mechanic ko mila leta hai, or wohi after sales service conduct krta hai. to standard to chhote shehron me mumkin nhn.

atleast i could buy a samsung ac in my area, and dealer says that he could take care of whatever after sales service.
have to decide between sharp and samsung or if not among these, then will buy kenwood esmart, for its word of mouth. interesting thing is that these both imported brands are a lil bit cheaper or equal to this pakistani made international brand.

Sharp & Kenwood are made in Pakistan... had a bad experience of Sharp 1.5ton inverter
I was told Samsung new a/c is made in vietnam and is better ... but I'm not sure...

i think sharp is assembled in pakistan and parts are being imported from thailand, according to a pakref dealer. don't know, what is true, as sharp has no official website in pakistan and their fb page is just a showpiece. so very doubtful about its genuineness.
btw what was the issue, when did you buy, which model and how bad was after sales service.
as for brand is concerned, the product should work well. issues might arise if product is faulty piece, or assembling is not up to mark as ppl do adulteration or improper installation, inexpertise while assesing the fault. there could be many reasons.
in pakistan, we can't trust brand name, the only thing work is reviews. thats why i enlist kenwood on top, because of its one product has more good reviews than other branded ones.
