I just bought Gree 2 ton WiFi inverter but I am having issue maintaining its temperature. If I set the temperate to 28 it brings the temperature down to 24-25. It never maintains a stable temperature. I have even set it to 30 but it keeps running at maximum.
I also tried ifeel mode which seems to work for sometime and maintains temperature at 26 but after sometime it again works at maximum capacity and bring temperature down to 24 with running ampere between 10-12. If someone has experienced the same issue please let me know what’s the fix?
By the way I tried auto mode which had the same result.

Do the room temperature remain same at all set temperatures on ac be it 18 or 30?

Lodge a complaint with Gree. There was a similar case discussed on this forum, where a faulty sensor/or faulty placement of sensor was to blame in viola unit a member had bought. So ask the company to fix it

Seems like a sensor issue. It will cost you a lot in wapda bills. Have it rectified through company immediately.

Not sure if I fully understand your question but I am checking the room temperature on an external temperature meter placed in the room and then I am also checking amperes on the amp meter. And the temperature keeps dropping to 24-25 even when I have set the temperature at 30

Power factor is max possible power that current can provide due to lagging in voltage. PF of 100% is ideal where’s 90-99%very good and 80% acceptable. <80% is considered poor. Usually capacitor are used for corrections of PF

I am also not getting energy efficiency from samsung 1.5 ton.
AC settings are:
1. 26°C
2. Cool mode (there is also this single user option, it is energy saving mode, kept on it also)
3. Fan is on auto, swing is on
4.voltage is around 200-210V
5. Piping length is 22 ft btw inner n outer unit.

External factors are:
1. Room size 12×18×10
2. False ceiling roof
3. Ground floor room
4. No direct sun exposure
5. Room is insulated quiet well.
6. Outer unit is placed in open area i.e. no shade ( in few days will cover it in shade)
7. Outside temp 46°
8. Room temp 33°
I hope i am not missing any factor.
Now in the beginning amp rises max to 7-8A, and it keeps cooling the room at 7-8 A. It does cool the room quickly in the start but after 2 hrs it couls not bring the temp to 26 and continue consuming around 7A after even 4-5 hrs. It means it maintains temp 26-27°C but it also takes approx. 7A.
From the beginning i have used it at 27 - 28°C usually at night when outside temp were around 30°C. it indeed rose to 7A and kept around 6-7A for an hour and then minimum it went to 2.3A. after 2 hrs.
So guys what are your experiences?
How long does it take to reach the desired temp esp below 25°C?
People claim that their inverters take initially good amps and within 15-30 min it reaches desired temp esp around 26-28°C and then consumes around 1.5-2A . The specs on AC shows that it can cool at minimum of 1.5A or say 300WIf this is the usual case for inverters and most ppl are getting such approximate results then, what are the conditions required? How one can get 12 hrs of cooling in just 4 kwh units?

Fir 22 ft piping length have added additional refregrent according to manual?

Just because its inverter, doesn't mean it has to come down to 2 - 3 Amps. It will consume as less as possible while trying to maintain the set temperature. Ambient temp of 46 Celsius is quite high and its only normal that AC keeps consuming that much Amps. Plus some loss can also be attributed to 22' of piping which is quite long. As you have already mentioned that it used to come down to 2 - 3 Amps when ambient temp was 30. So, just understand that your compressor needs to run at higher speeds to maintain the desired temp of 26 - 27 celcius when ambient temp is 46°. I think its perfectly normal.

manual says the minimum length is 3 meters ( 10ft ) and maximum length is 20 m ( 65ft), and max height is 12 meters ( 40ft ). if pipe length is longer that the limit then you add more gas and if it shorter than limit then, you remove some gas. i believe the ideal length should be 10 ft as it is the pipe length company providing, but increasing the pipe length was unavoidable. but still i think, it must not affect the cooling or power consumption much.

Follow the manual but I have seen manuals of different brands, almost all mentioned that after 10ft you need add refregrent. Additional quantity per ft is also given in manual.

ambient temp in my area goes as high as 52°C. and i understand it will affect the cooling as well as the time to required to reach the set temp and might not be able to chill to the room at it minimum temp setting.
my query is that if set temp is 24-28C and as it is the within the normal room temp range. so if you guys are setting the temp of say 24, in above mentioned external factors, how long does your inverter take to reach the set point and at what amps??? and after it has achieved the set, how much amp does it consume to maintain the temp.
and one thing i do understand that to cool down the room in the start it will take max amp, but when it reaches the set, will the inverter consume the minimum amps at every set point???
i.e. in case scenario of set points, 28 , 24 , 20, 16. after achieving these set points in whatever period, will the AC draw same minimum amp or will it vary ??

so you say, may be the refrigerant is low?? i asked the technician to check the gas pressure after few days of running. i complained that it is not generating the cool air enough. he came and just felt the coldness of both thick and thin copper pipes and said refrigerant is ok and cooling is also fine. i asked further to check it with manifold gauge, he replied it will lose some gas, so its not needed and we are authorized tech of 8-10 brands, i am installing many ACs daily, so don't worry your unit is working fine. ab is ke baad me or kia behs karun. phir ye tech log humein oversmart smjhte hain. or phir uth patang bahanay maarte rehte hain.
