Asalamualaikum everyone, thank you all for your worthy input and time and giving away honest knowledge and recommendations. Please if you could all answer my naive queries.

My rooms dimension is 20*18, its on first floor with its roof exposed to sunlight. I am planning to buy an ac (brand new) hopefully in the month of November. My questions are.

What kind of capacity do I need to make my room cool enough, also keeping it economical too, presently a 1.5 ton split ac of general is installed which is around 15 years old. will 1.5 be okay or do I need to shift to 2 ton ac?

What model and brand inverter ac is advised and recommended? keeping in view durability and economy as well as performance?

What will be the ampere values or running an inverter ac?

Please state difference between samsung, gree, etc and local brands.

Is ups enabled ac beneficial, my home will be shifted to solar power in the near future?

One last request, I plan on remodeling my room, what investments can I make on room which would help my room ac to cool better, False ceiling etc?

Your room is too big for 1.5 ton. But it depends on your budget which AC you choose.

UPS enabled is just a joke. Haier is selling UPS module separately. You don't need that. You can use typical pure sinewave UPS. Modified sinewave will work too.

Choose any that fits your budget.

Orient Ultron eComfort 2020 model is really good.

TCL miracle is not available in 2 ton. Otherwise i would have recommended that due to generator mode to run that on UPS and solar.

Kenwood, Samsung and Gree are overpriced air conditioners. But it again depends on your budget.

Kenwood ACs sold here are just chinese air conditioners locally assembled by R&I. They are not official kenwood air conditioners. Just logo is slapped on body. Believe me i looked for their air conditioners on international kenwood sites and couldn't find any single one of them. But performance wise they are good.

Panasonic air conditioners are also now locally produced with company warranty. Most air conditioners and refrigerators got Panasonic compressors inside them.

Applying depoxy was a tough job. Better had spray painted the ubends.

So after running new AC for a month indoor filters were dirty like they were not cleaned for months. Air in Lahore is too much dusty.

After cleaning filters my bedroom AC has started dropping amperes even more since heat exchanging got better.

Epoxy Resin. You can get it from any hardware store. Costed me 600, small packs are also available. There are two bottles you need to mix in equal proportion, it'll be thick like honey. Upon drying it'll become hard like glass.

Painting or any rust proofing is useless. I did it on my ac 6 years ago but it is syill rusting. The main problem is not using vacuum pump during installation of AC in pakistan due to which rust destroys copper tubes from inside due to presence of moisture.

Yups there is no substitute for proper installation.
Thete is rust issue in my area so I'm coating exposed copper u bends and pipes with epoxy resin. This will prevent outer surface area.

what will be the difference in power consumption of 1.5 and 2.0 ton, and how is the idea of installing 2 ac of 1.0 ton in the same room will that be more economical?

Whats the consensus on AC size for basement room, we have a dinning room in basement with 2 Ton AC (Mitsubishi Cool Only) and it cools down the room easily in minutes. We're thinking of getting a 1.5 Ton AC (Head & Cool). Would that be enough? Basement temperature never exceeds 33C (even in summer)
