No. Just switch to cool mode and run ac for few min.
Then switch off system and switch on ac at hot mode.

Room temperature is normally 9 c so switching on AC on 16 c wont work I believe. Rest of the points I will check. Thanks.

There is desi jugaar for that. Open indoor unit cover, grab temperature sensor in your fist of your hand. Your body heat will fool AC that it's hot in room and it will kick start compressor on cool mode.

Using TCL Miracle 1.5 Ton heat mode. So far so good. Brings temperature upto 23C in no time. Drops amperes to 2.75 - 3A after achieving set temperature.

nop, most ACs these days take input from outdoor sensor as well. In fact you check on user manual, it tells the the range of ambient temperature at which cool or heat mode will work.

I just recently did this jugaar covered indoor unit temperature sensor and compressor kicked in. No matter how low outside temperature is, if room is hot AC will start working to cool down room.

Yes there is temperature sensor in outdoor unit as well. That only detects how hot / cold outside it is and how much AC needs to push the compressor for air conditioning.

try the inverted AC of Homage,
Homage is a product of Kenwood. Kenwood is a very trusted brand, i have one KenWood AC. its been more than 15 years, with proper service and cleaning it works perfectly.
I also have one Homage Inverter AC, which works fine
the thing with inverter AC is that their machine is different from the normal AC, so if there is any problem do not ask your regular electrician to work on it.
im not sure about the price, i think its near to 1 lac, and you should probably buy it directly from a Homage showroom.

Homage is the brand owned by R&I in Pakistan. They are also assembling some overpriced Kenwood junk that is not sold by Kenwood anywhere else in the world. All parts are just chinese sourced from the same manufacturer from whom Orient and other assemblers are sourcing. Even the remotes are same and you could use Orient remote with your Kenwood inverter air conditioner.

everything from gree to orient to haier to TCL is chinese. Not all Chinese things are unreliable or cheap, it depends what you are willing to pay for. Any high end product from the above or other local brands with T3 compressor and copper internals should be go to go for us. Not everyone can afford Daikin

My mind is set on Orient Jupiter 1.5 Ton unit, it costs around 75-80k. It has similar features to what TCL Miracle 18T3B has.

The only reason I am opting for Orient is because of TCL’s poor after-sales.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

wifi is useless as their app, servers, web interface is all crap. Other than that, my ultron is running strong. Whatever you buy, make sure you to get it vacuumed

Is vacuuming really necessary?

I mean, I’ve just talked to an electrician who claims that it’s a new unit and that it won’t need to be vacuumed, “Only used and broken units are vacuumed” he said.

Is there a video anywhere that gives a strong motive to vacuum the unit beforehand?

Read the user manual please, it will not recommend vacuuming.... It will tell you it's mandatory

If your room size is not large and room roof is not direct exposed to sun, go for 1.0 tonn AC. It will be more economical to run.
