i have a kenwood 1838s. working fine.

need another ac. for a smaller room. existing ac in that room is a 1 ton dawlance inverter, which is 7 years old now. needs replacement.

any suggestions on what ac to get. same as kenwood 1838. specially with big indoor unit and strong air throw.

TCL/Dawlance T3 in 1.5 TON..thgey have bigger indoor units

for 1 Ton . .you will mostly find conventional size inners mostly.. in that TCL/ORIENT ULTRON /Kenwood 1238 may Fit your need

Who did the installation? was proper procedures followed?

Received the order today. The AC was in good shape.

Although, I contacted Gree again for installation, to which they said that they're on “on-season”, which meant that their authorized technicians can't be deployed to install the unit through proper procedure. And that their “off-season” will start in October.

So, they will have 3rd party installers to get the job done.

Moving further, I asked whether proper vacuuming before installation could be done and it is a necessary part of the installation, to which the guy at the call, told me that “Your AC is new and thus it doesn't need any vacuuming”, he continued, “You can use Auto Clean function to have the lines cleaned for any moisture”

Well, I didn't believe whatever the crap he spouts. I ignored him but now I'm wondering how will I have it vacuumed. I contacted them on WhatsApp, telling them that I want it to be vacuumed and it is a MUST. Let's see how it goes.

I'm wondering if getting it installed and vacuumed by a 3rd party will void the warranty or something?

Max They Do Is Purge The Lines. Vacuuming the unit require vaccum pump and almost none of installers had it unless they are commercial level installers or you have your own and convince them to do it...

from whomever you get it installed make sure they purge lines well at least if not vacuuming..

for reply of auto clean and new ac doesnt require vaccuming......there are words but due to ramadan i would avoid to say them.....fools

I've installed CANDY ac and when it is turned on for the very first time the remote controller didn't work. But it worked with LG remote. Can anybody know what could be the problem and solution.

So Haier and LG pakistan they both are importing parts from same vendor in China. 🤦🏻‍♂️
And then LG sells their ACs at astounding high prices that are made with same parts that other companies are also using. Just cashing their brand name.

Regarding problem contact Haier and may be claim warranty for it.

I have orient 1 ton inverter bought 2 years back. The model is Bold. I am from Karachi so current temps hitting 34C at afternoon. Today I started it the room was at 34C, it is cooling to 29C easily but after that it takes long time to reach 27C. I was testing it so I set the temp 24C. Idealy we set it at 28C. Is it ok for 1 ton inverter? The room is on 1st floor but our roof has thermocol sheet for heat insulation.

Also if we run the blower at turbo and turn off the fan, or if we turn on the fan and leave the blower at auto which will consume less electricity?

How is the throw of blower? If throw is fast then room will cool down faster.

Usually 1 ton air conditioners with slow blowers struggle to lower down temperature.

Clean the filters and indoor unit coils to improve cooling

Use the fan speed on auto. It will change speed according to need. Direct the airflow on ceiling fan and turn it on on slow speed, it will spread out the cooling fast.

If your room is well insulated then fan + 28oC AC uses less amps than no fan + AC at say 25/26. Tested myself.

I will test if I use turbo fan in fan mode how much amps it takes and how much it takes with low and medium settings

Complain With Haier And When It Was New Complained should be locked at spot and it will be rectified immediately or soon ....

it could be bad remote or dead batteries...

LG units are hardly available....aint they korean? LG used to had its own compressor and decent quality coils

dont know about now ....are they assembling here?
