Purchased two haier 1.5 tons and two haier 1 tons inverter ACs (cool only models) last year at the end of the season. The model numbers were 18 LEK 03 R2 and 12 LEK 03 R2. These are imported models launched by haier for sales promotion in 2013. The 1.5 tons ACs have been extensively used this summer. Both the 1.5 tons are installed on the first floor. During the continous heat wave of second and thrid week of june when temperatures remained at 45 degrees, the ACs performed flawlessly as far as cooling is concerened. The room sizes are 18 feet x 14 feet, but the roof is insulated with 6 inches of jumbolon board and and outer walls with one inch jumbolon board. Therefore the room temperature on the first floor never exceeded above 33 degrees without air-conditioning. When the AC was switched on, it brought the room temperature down to the set temperature of 26 degrees within 45 minutes. During the one hour load-shedding period, the room temperature remained below 30 degrees which was quite acceptable and no one in the family complained of any discomfort. As far as power consumption is concerened, it fluctuates between 3.7 amperes to 8.5 amperes. However, on average during a 24 hours period, one 1.5 tons inverter ac consumes 1.01 killowats per hour, which turns out to be an average of 4.54 amperes (at 230 volts) for a 10 to 12 hours operation including the start /stop cycle due to load shedding. The verbally claimed power consumption by haier agent in DHA was 4.9 amps for the 1.5 tonns ac. These days , I am running only one inverter air-conditioner and total units consumption for the month of june this year (from 1 june to 26 june ) have been 590 units so far. This comes to an average of 22.7 units per day for an entire 1 kanal house including two refrigerators, two LED Tvs and other home appliances like clothes iron and microwaves. I would say that the combination of insulation and inverter based air-conditioners have reduced the power consumption by more than 50 percent, as my last year june power consumption in the previous unisulated house with a conventional 1.5 tons air-conditioner was 1260 units. The bad news is that only yesterday I went to the haier agent in DHA lahore once again to buy another inverter ac and they informed me that the import models are now finsihed and they have now only the locally manufactured units which consume an avarage of 7.7 amperes current. On hearing that, I decided to search for the imported unit from thailand in abid market as there is no point in buying an inverter ac for Rs 75,000 which consumes only one ampere less than the conventional ac. By the way, I havent experimented with the two 1 tons haier inverter ACs yet therfore I wont be commenting on them but I beleive that they should perform fine as they are installed on the ground floor where temperature conditions are even better. As a closing comment, if you are out in the market for a haier inverter air conditioner, look only for the imported model from thailand as dealers might still have them in stock. I paid Rs 80000 for the 1.5 ton and Rs 70,000 for the 1 ton model in october 2013 as the season had run out. I hope this satisfies most of the posters.

Brother agar Gree available hai within 90k range and its consumption is 6a (peak) and 3a(running) then is it better / equal to Haier??

Its a 5kv system on shared basis with wapda. As ac will consume nearly 5000 watt 2500/w each on peak performance. So considering 5kv =4000 watt it will share rest from wapda.
48v system with 150 amp batteries.

Actually there are a few models of Samsung inverter based refrigerators look for Samsung RT series. But you won't find a direct cool imported fridge, they will always be No-frost models. Refrigerators | Refrigerators Prices in Pakistan - Alfatah Electronics.

I'm sure there are other imported inverter based refrigerators, but none of the local brands have an inverter based fridge.

Total 2000* 80= 160000
Inverter is pure sine wave 5kv solar charging on 40amp
Make :china
Company :Any power combi

Batteries china 150 amp
4*32000= 128000
Installation 50000
Total Rs: 418000 till now
As i m planning to increase 4 panel so i can go off grid during night time.

Things running on solar
3 led tv
9 fan continuously using 5 in summer approx 80W/fan
8 energy saver or led/smd approx 14 W/light
1 fridge
1 microwave
1 washing machine used twice in week.
All sockets mobile/laptop charging ports etc

Now how i m using it during ramzan month.
Go off grid around 4am then switch back around 4 pm giving 12 hrs straight
Again go off grid around 7pm to 11 pm.
So 16 hrs total i m going off grid.

Now lets c how much we can reduce from electricity bill.

It's not economically feasible to go off grid and run things on battery power. It costs you more per unit (KWh) as compared to Wapda. I've done the calculations, batteries are best suited for emergency backup when there is no power.

So what will be the proper way to use solar system. ?
Its a hybrid system designed to prefer solar first then other source of electricity.
So if i just let it work its way then it may be charging batteries during peak time as the load shedding condition is goin, thats y i m doin it manually.
And how we can calculate our Kwh usage. ?

The proper way would be to try and consume as much electricity as you are generating from solar, while keeping batteries fully charged. Use daytime to do most tasks that use electricity, for example washing, ironing etc. Minimize your reliance on Wapda at daytime. In night time shift to Wapda completely and keep batteries for emergency backup only when there is no electricity.

The inverter is very important when it comes to setting priorities. It depends on how configurable it is.
Infini is quite popular for hybrid setups and it can be configured to set priorities, timers, it also logs energy generated and status of battery.

I don't think your inverter is hybrid. It does not mention it anywhere in the specs. You might want to look into the user manual and see how to configure it. I believe it has a USB port and it must have some software for changing settings.

My inverter only shows load , battery status and it has preference settings. But no timer option. As its also on lesser side in cost too as compared to infini. .

A month now using solar system with infini inverter I saved almost 400 units this month and the most important thing is that infini does its job itself nothing manual.

Dont forget to switch off the feed back feature of infini back to grid otherwise your electric meter could burn.

Infi by voltronic is the highest selling hybrid available in the market...There are two types of infini available i.e. infi and infi plus... the difference is that simple infini supports 3200 watts from PV and infini plus supports 4500. output for both is 3000 watts.. but never ever ever ever use it over 2700 watts at max... which model is yours???
