@matifkhan thank you so much for your input and adding to my knowledge :)..
Yes the lounge downstairs is larger therefore takes higher amps i guess.
Voltage is same as i have one meter for the whole house, did not separate the meters because only 1 ac runs upstairs..
What is FWT?
What I meant to ask was taking out all the gas and refilling after vacuum, will it cause any damage because gas is filled again externally, doesn't filling gas somehow damage the compressor since its being filled to its entirety by a gauge manifold set? i dont know how they fill these compressors in factory but using the gauge manifold kind of feels like stressing the compressor. Also on an empty compressor is it a good practice to fill some gas like around 200-300 grams before compressor turns on? my technician said last year he filled some gas before compressor turned on (after vacuuming) as he did not want ac compressor to run empty so he filled 200-300 grams of gas before turning on compressor and then filling by weight on a scale. i don't know if he should have done that on an off compressor. even though it was just 200-300 grams. he said this would not stress the compressor as we had taken all the gas out and he did not want the compressor to turn on with no gas inside so he said it was safe to fill some in off state.
I don't obviously want to remove all gas and vacuum again but its just that when i had it vacuumed last year, the guy forgot to purge the gauge manifold on one ac before filling gas after vacuuming. so he didnt purge the gauge manifold after vacuuming. I was thinking maybe some minute amount of air went in after vacuuming from the gauge manifold pipes (as it was not purged after vacuuming was complete)...
Yes you are right that Haier is a piece of Sh*t. their after sales is full of CRAP and the owner is more focused towards zalmi and instagram than he is on fixing the after sales service centers.
matifkhan One thing I'd like your input in is, if you go to ecostar.com.pk and view the new GREE FAIRY series, you'll see under specs there is a "cooling" option and when you click that it gives the BTU capacity H/S/L.. this btu capacity for 2 ton fairy is 27900btus and for 1.5 ton its 22000+... For all other models like viola, lomo (i own 3) and amber etc etc, the 2 ton has clearly mentioned 24000 btu and 1.5 ton has 18000 btu.. But this specific FAIRY model has a 27900 btu capacity per hour for 2 ton ac. I called gree to ask if it was a mistake on the website but they said all their acs go above and beyond the capacity. I then told them to view the website where it says 24000 and 18000 btu for all other models except this fairy model which has specs as 27900 for 2 ton model..they as usual had no idea and said maybe it was a misprint. so i was wondering if this ac is indeed higher in btu capacity than the standard 24000 btu for other gree models...please answer this according to your understanding as all other models don't have this excess capacity of btus mentioned and have the exact standard btu capacity as per ton weight.
I would have gotten Gree hands down, but the only problem is they use T1 compressor which I feel is a failure for a country like Pakistan where highest recorded temperature was 53-55 degrees in thar or something.. and around 45+ in lahore in 2013 i believe. At times in summers temp goes really high and its stupidity to have a t1 compressor in such a tropical climate.
So LG has a t3 compressor, so does panasonic (dealer said new model 2 ton heat and cool is coming in 15 days), and haier claims to have t3 as well.
Problem with LG is there are 2 distributors, Momil and Inovi, each distributor has a LG brand shop in lahore momil owns cavalry and hussain chowk i think and each distributor has different model for dual inverter 2 ton. One says the other one is old, the other says the others is old. One says the other shops contract was not renewed by Lg so is selling old stock by saying its new. This guys says no the other one is lying and his ac is the newest one. Like wtf seriously who should i believe. Models are LG247SK3 (Claimed to be old by LG inovi distributor) the other is LG USN246K3A1 (claimed to be older by the momil distributor shops) LOL. LG USN246k3a1 used to come in cold only but 3 months ago LG launched this model again with same model number as heat and cold, it is listed on algerian LG website as having 70% energy saving with dual inverter.. the lg247sk3 is an LG uae model and on uae website its mentioned but no pics or details (became obsolete i guess in uae) so old stock being sold by momil distributors at very high cost.. no where else is this model mentioned on any other lg website.
Another question I have, 3 of my outdoors for GREE inverters are placed on roof (honestly theres no other place for them to be placed).. so I was told to get a shade made for them to protect from sunlight. will this help? Any place in lahore that makes fiberglass shades for outdoor units? couldn't find any online. will this even help for outdoors? I was told to only put shade on top part as extending shade to the sides of outdoor will affect cooling efficiency.
Cooling at 26 degree is top notch and Gree (upstairs bedroom) 2 ton inverter stabilizes at 1.7-2.2 at night and in the morning time it stabilizes at 3.8 minimum (i was told its due to sun heat and more work by compressor as compared to night). 2 ton downstairs stabilizes at 4.8 amps at 27 degree target temperature in afternoon and around 2.6-3.2 amps in night.
Thanks once again!
