is it ground or 1st floor? if 1st floor then definitely nothing less than 1.5ton.

The ac works harder as it has to cool walls and alot of other stuff before it can stabilize. I feel a colder room with gree 26 degree than i feel with my lg 23.

I could be wrong if i had one gree unit. I have 3 gree (2 ton) and 1 gree (1.5 ton) and 2 LG (2ton). Its the same story across the board with all these units when tested.

I feel colder in all gree units at 26 than i do with LG at 23 or 22. Once this was checked by various thermometers the cause was evident. There is a difference in how they cool sense and operate.

Brcause of your unrelated posts the thread was locked previosuly and now again you are beating the bush for lame unrelated stuff. We are concerned with ACs in Pakistani market and first hand experiences but you would always pick a point like the current temperature device (previously RNI/kenwood saga ) and will then troll all memebers around. I request you to please reconcile and contribute positively to the thread.

In my locality, mechanic is saying that if u need honeywell r22, the charging will cost 3500 rs. And this chinese, which he claims is comparatively good, cost 2000 rs. When asked why that much differnce in price. He said as usual, that honeywell is rarely asked by customer, so we mostly use DY kaghan as it creates enuf savings for us. And we also avoid using honeywell as market is full of scam by using cheap chinese gas in honeywell cylinders. Did u buy whole cylinder? How much kilos are there? Though I know u have r134a gas, but u might know abouy r22.

I have got similar equipment including that very same probe thermometer, except the weighing scale.
I searched a lot in different markets to get a weighing scale with a separate display unit attached with measuring platform with the help of a flexible spiral cable but it wasn't available anywhere.

If you have multiple equipment i.e., AC, Fridge etc at your home running on R22 then it's better to invest in a full cylinder. Whenever gas recharging is required you can use that cylinder, all you will need to pay to the technician will be his service charges, this way you will always be sure about the quality of the gas.
Two years back when Dollar rate was around 100 PKR, orginal Honeywell R134a cylinder was available for 14,000 Rupees, it is just to give you a rough idea of a full cylinder cost.

Kaghan brand is being used by Gree Service centers to fill gas.

I will advise you to go with this unless you are willing to spend some extra money on Honeywell.

I wouldn't trust a technician to fill my ac with honeywell because the cylinder may be adultered or mixed with other gasses. You don't know what the cylinder had before it.
How will you tell that it is kaghan gas? Just because cylinder says so? Dont trust the technician, get your own cylinder.

If i were you i would buy one cylinder of Honeywell brand new sealed by authorized distributor and keep it in my house for any such future problems. Although if gas has leaked then the leak needs to be found as gas should not escape from a sealed split.

I dont have r134 i have r410 and got it for 14.5k as i have some contacts.

R410 honeywell cylinder has 11.3KG gas and is for 15-17k. Depending on your contacts. 16500 is retail price.

R22 should be around 10-12k for 11.3KG. (I'm not too sure but i bought r22 last year and it was in that range).

just one fridge and a 1.5 ton split. probably soon will buy an inverter split. so 2 different gas cylinders would be expensive and most of the cylinder will lay unused.
btw this is best way to avoid scam. and as today i saw, when mechanic was charging the gas, it wasn't difficult too for a DIY type persons, provided the instruments.
damn these proudy mechanics, i asked him to bring a vaccum pump ( the typical compressor pump), considering me as layman, didn't bring the pump and kept telling me that i will the air, just watch it. he already filled the condenser with air to see if there is any leak after establishing all connections, then via manifold, he removed all the air and started filling the gas and when i asked how will u remove the air, he told be that after filling some gas, i will remove some and in this way air wil be removed. and i countered that the gas and air will get mixed, he just said air hojati hai remove, humein tajarba hai. anyways, he forgot to put a valve in and all gas escaped. unfortunately, the compressor tripped due to poor voltage and he has to leave without refiling n will come tomorow.

yes, its 6 year old dawlance monogrom 1.5, had been "serviced" twice ( last one 2 years back) , this year got it checked, pressure was around 40 and lower valve was oily and inner unit also had leaks as well acc to mechanic. he repaired the faults and will the gas tomorrow.
yes couldn't believe these mechanics and there is no other way than to buy cylinder oneself, but it would be very expensive for me.
lets see how this kaghan gas works and i will not risk using honeywell and got it leaked the next day, as these mechanics can't be trusted for the repairs.
oh yeah, r134a is used in refrigerators, i forgot.

When oil is present anywhere it is a sign of leak at that point.

Have a professional check for leaks. You could use a vacuum pump as well to see if theres any leak but i doubt youll find a proper pump.

Have them solder all the leaks after checking with nitrogen at high pressure.

Guys just installed haier t3 1.5ton inverter AC yesterday night. Now after installing it started it at 26c and it was not blowing cool air that time AC was on auto mode so I thought as it was 19c outside temp maybe it's running heater as it was on auto. Then tried on cool only mode on 26c same case. When I setted the temp on 18 overnight it chilled the room. Why it is doing this behavior I want to know. No use of inverter AC if I have to run it at 16-18c by the way even at 18 overnight fan didn't slowed even once on auto mode.

if fan is on auto and it gets slow then it means the desirable temperature has been achieved n amps dropped

When theres suspicion of leak you give the compressor 450-500 psi pressure of Nitrogen and stand that pressure over night. Any changes on gauge mean theres a leak. Second most important step is to dip it into water to look for small air bubbles like you do for a tyre puncture.

These two methods are employed to find leaks in compressor and evaporator coil in pakistan. It is preferrable to have them both done as both must be done to find leaks so you know where to solder.

Ashcroft would make sense if you had a digital probe. Im sure its reading would match my probe.

Theres science and then theres common sense. One ac works on room temp the other on ambient. I felt colder in gree and checked with my probe and it did show a lower temp. Htc also confirmed this but was not as accurate as digital probe.

Dont know if daraz have the newer manuals or old would have to buy from there to see.

The whole point is to tell you that when an ac maintains 26C it is actually lower than that. To test this you need a device that is highly sensitive to temp changes. This clock just doesnt have the capability to handle our area of interest i.e. to measure temp fluctuations while in an ac room.
