Is 5w-30 OK? For Vitz in summers?

1kr uses oil a bit, 0w20 wont burn off any more than it burns 5w20 or 5w30.

Zic oil is not being refined here. Its imported in barrels by HI-Tech lubricants company. Zic is just okayish oil. Not something o would recommend to anyone. All these engine oils come already refined to pakistan in barrels from their origin then further repacked by packager.

considering that old engines need Zddp additive oils, can some one tell me the thinnest possible oil available in api sg or api sj grade?

i would like to try fully synthetic, but they are all api SN, good for the newer cars.

i am currently using Caltex Delo Gold, 15w40, in my 1996 civic d15 sohc engine. changing at about 4000km, car is driven 215,000km. milage i get is between 10-12.5 km/liter

Not necessarily. SN grade supersedes other grades i.e. SL and SM. SN is a higher spec oil than the later two grades and is backward compatible. If you are using Delo Gold and it has given to good average and no problems, then why switch ?

also wondering if it would clean the engine. the tappets rocker arms etc are all golden color, possible too much varnish buildup.

then go for full synthetic. maybe a 10w40 which is available in Zic. you can drain at 6k kms with original oil filter.

I am thinking of trying Totachi 5w30 oil next time. They claim Its 100% synthetic and hearing some good things about them. 4500Rs for 4 L

Dont know. Its new in PK. International reviews are great. We have cheaper and good options in local ones in same consistency oils
