Dear friend,
It is 100% legal, but one obligation you have to follow that same thing so many people wrote it, the only obligation is you can change the body but with the same model's body, in that case the only Toyota Surf 92-99 have almost same body only front lights and grill is little bit change, people change the body and fixed the advance body and thought how the custom guys will get that what is the model of this body, so in that case eventually they got struck because on the seat belts of Toyota Surf the model of body use to mention. So in that case who are trying to change the body of surf Kindly change the seat belts with their original body, then no one can get its model number, in Pajero their is alot of difference in models so one can only change with the same model number.

I want to put the body of a cygnus 2005 model on a 2000 model land cruiser. Ill buy an accidented LC and a non custom cygnus. Will put the body of cygnus on the LC frame. They both have the same frame so it wont be a problem. I will change the engine details on the papers via a proper channel as well. Having said all this, Is this still legal?
