Is Catalytic converter Cleaning Dangerous?

There is NO danger in getting the catalytic converter cleaned if done properly by some professional mechanic. Getting it cleaned with Acid is NOT a recommended method at all to get the catalytic converter of your car cleaned.

Give liquimoly one a try. Just drive at high RPMs after using it for a while. If you are in Punjab, motorway and ring roads are suited. See if non evasive method works i.e getting cat cleaned without taking it out and washing and putting it back in

If you see the previous replies to the post clearly, then I don't think that I have to elaborate anything further about the procedure, I just added my one cent to tell the OP that it is safe to get the catalytic converter cleaned by some "professional mechanic" (who actually knows what he's doing).

I got my Corolla's cleaned through a fb page, don't rem if it was the same. Workshop was in gulshan. Observed improvement in mileage and low end torque. The min I drove away from there, I noticed improved power.

What's the procedure they followed for cleaning the cat?

They poured a green colored liquid through the O2 bung, let it sit for 10 mins then flushed it out. Mileage started adding up and landed at +2 after that. My car also had the tendency to loose power when on operating temps, would work fine when cold. Cat service fixed this problem as well.

Go for italian tune up once in a while and you will never need to clean the cat from mechanic.cat clogs in cars which are used in cities on slow speeds or hyper miled on long route.

Google Italian tune up. Take the car for a spin at motorway or open roads and it will clean the cat itself.

The previous owner clocked very less miles on my car, most of them being highway miles. They were also hyper milers, and probably used bad quality fuel most of the time. The minute I got the car it was an Italian tune everyday, made some difference but not much. Catcon service made the best improvement. I still redline it every once in a while, it loves to chirp 2nd gear.

Yes right once it is choked then Italian tuneup cant do much but if it is clear and u do Italian tune up off and on then it ll never get choked

So i did the Cat Clean service. Drove for 2 days to see the results. My mileage never even got a km higher. Really disappointed.
