Is it possible to ride CG-125 or RP-125 at 30 or 40 km/h with bike in the top gear?

Dear fellows,

I have a very limited experience of riding a Honda CG-125 good condition and never experienced RP-125. What I observed on CG that it is not easy to shift gears like we do on 70cc and Sprinter.

Let me explain this further. When I ride 70cc or Sprinter, it is possible for me to shift gears with little push on the accelerator and reach the top gear at a speed of just 25-30km/h. But in the case of CG, I had to accelerate the bike before I can shift to the next gear and it was not possible for me to shift to the 4th gear under 25-30km/h.

Once you are in the top gear on CG then you can decelerate to 30km/h and get a calm and smooth ride and enjoy the nice sweet wind in the morning on a long pugdundi with greenery on both sides. I think now you got the idea that why I am asking to be in the 4th gear under 40km/h speed. Plus top gear with low rpms are the most economical zone.

Yes u can easily rode it on top gear at speed of 40km/h...i have a 2012 cg aka euro 2 so giving u an authentic answer

And you can easily shift gears under this speed?? Because when I was riding I had to accelerate the bike and it was not easy to shift to 4th gear at low speed of 30 or 40km/h.

You cant ride an RP in 5th gear under 40 it will grumble due to low RPM, but you can Gate under 40km in 4th gear very easy!

@abdulrehmanrauf ! 40km/h on 4th gear is EASY. Its all about throttle control. BUT, as you pointed out, changing gear on low speeds will be jerky, and if rider is not experienced, he might stall the engine in doing so.

So yeah, you CAN change the gear on low speeds BUT its better to change the gear at its intended speed, and THEN bring down the bike at 40km/h.

Personally, i DON'T ride the CG125 in 4th Gear at that speeds. 3rd Gear suits more. CG125 has this strange beemari ... where it feels like, it has lost its torque and power (very obvious in hot weather conditions), if you continue to ride it in "high-gear/low-speed" condition. Can't really explain that problem in words, but experienced riders might know this, as CG125 is unpredictable in giving you Power at a Specific Gear, say 3rd.
