Agree, but even this MG ZS won't be any less than 45lacs either. Don't know about anyone else, but if I they make even one or two charging stations on major motorways in the country I would definitely consider this vehicle if I were in the market for a brand-new Civic or Sportage. Even if it manages 250 to 300km in a typical karachi traffic, this would still mean I could go five to six days to work without any need to charge. Then there is always the option of overnight charging at home.
The space isn't as bad either, more practical than a civic corolla and only slightly smaller than a Sportage. If, and a big IF, this car manages to move even 50 to 100 units in the initial days and some charging infrastructure starts to develop, there is a possibility that other automakers might want to jump in on bandwagon with their offerings. If the Kona electric and e-Niro are even in the +-5-10lac range of this vehicle, they may manage to move some units.
Certainly, these cars are not for the elite. Every inch of these cars reeks economy and the only chance any manufacturer, be it Hyundai, Kia or MG, has to sale these cars is if they price it aggressively possibly due to lower duties and taxes.
For the rich and elite nothing is above brand value and prestige and so they can have their EQC, i3, i8, E-tron.
