so strange....read ma avatar to understand what i say. so here it goes
i have owned a platz since september last year. mine is a 2003 model, manual transmission. got it for 640, got CNG in it the same month, and since then, i have been so these places without a SINGLE problem to date

when i bought it, it was driven for 17000 km. now it reads more than 46000, again, in just one year. and believe me, it has been a pleasure to drive it all the way. the average on CNG is simply outstading i wud say. i have a 60 kg cylinder (a lil big..i agree), which gives me an average of 160-165 km with AC in local regularly. on long routes, for example over the eid holidays to abbotabad and all, it gave me an average of 220 km with AC (thats on heights towards abbotabad). i once drove it to lahore, and it gave me an average of 240 km with AC. unbelievable? impossible? well...i dont have a point to prove here, but this IS the fact (offcourse it depends upon ur driving style as well). till today, there has been NO problem of ANY sort which i have faced till today. Pickup with CNG is excellent, and the comfort is not less than any 1.3 car. however, the facilities which i have are much more, like dual airbags (which are not even in new 17 lacs worth corolla..it only has one), 5 seat belts, power windows, an EXCELLENT ABS (not like ALTIS ABS which sux) and the list goes on. the only problem, which for ppl IS a problem, is the ground clearance, as the car is a lil low. but then again, just 4 months back i took it to kaghan naran, and those who have been there recently wud second me that the road is pretty bad. just a lil bit of driving skill, and a lil bit of patience, and u wont have any problem.
i m saying all this after buying and selling a zero meter alto in february last year till august. the car just started rattling from everywhere. so i sold it before it was too late and got ma princess (platz). and i m more than happy on the purchase mashallah.
as far as the auto tranny is concerned, well i know a few ppl around me who ARE facing lil bit problem with their CNG setup. so i wud suggest that u look for a manual transmission. as far as the models are concerned, the 2003 till 2005 i guess are the better looking ones. but then on the other hand, i wanna tell u something. when i was buying ma car last year for the price i mentioned above, 2002 model in manual transmission was aval for around 5, 20 (our PW member Venom got it for this price). so i think its beter to buy that and save this much money, because everyting else is the same, the engine and the transmission and the suspension and the dimension. its just that its a lil odd looking (and those who say 2003 onwards is odd looking, i can only laugh at them. just have a look at CITY and the DUMB looking corolla....or just visit europe for understanding what i m saying....and pleasr try to digest this thing that mehran and cultus are shitty cars, u accept or dont, and its a pitty u ppl got them and are stuck with them)..so i was saying, that u get the same facilities for about 1.20 lacs less. but still, its ur choice.
anyways, there are 1000 more things which i can tell u abt the car, but then i leave them on demand....oh yeah...and yes, as per my humble opinion, this guy is selling u the car on a lil high price (as per last year's prices when i was buying the car..dont know abt now's so pardon in advance). reason ? because 2003 till 2005 are EXACTLY the same cars, with no change at ALL between them, so the prices are the same as well. and then, its auto transmission. all the auto transmission in 2003 models were available to me for 6,00,000 or 6,10,000 max. manuals are abt 40 thousand expensive. so as per my opinion, u are paying more. its better that u be a lil patient and look for a manual transmission one. u wont regret
