Is Samsung Nexus S A Good Phone To Buy?

OK, the only down side is the low battery time, it gives I think max 6-7 hours of usage.. and how to STOP the phone from using my GPRS connection? whenever I turn my wifi off it connects to the GPRS ????

Like i said before Battery time is a major issue!To turn off GPRS
Settings>Wireless & Network Settings > Mobile Networks and from there uncheckData Enabled and Data Roaming Options.

Though that's a long way to go just to disable the GPRS, it should have been in the power tools as well (like the WiFi)... anyways...

Can you also tell me, if we can upgrade the battery, if yes, how much time will it give?

Install Mobile Data Switch from Market and it's a widget for desktop..it's like on off switch for data services..For Battery you can buy Powerskin Case (not worth it IMHO as it only provides 1500mah power (same as your original battery) ..and costs 50$) or you can buy 2-3 OEM batteries or something like this OEM Samsung Nexus S D720 Spare Battery Charging System | eBay or you can buy extended battery.I have not used Galaxy S2 but this is from review

a phone should give 12hours of battery life with normal usage (I guess sII does that) will go for a better one next time (keeping the battery in mind).. for now I hope I find a good extended battery

Seidio Extended Battery is normally recommended for Nexus S.There are many other cheap chinese crap but only Seidio battery provides good backup time.

I am using Nexus S and it easily provides 12 hour battery (for phone usage only if you use it for browsing and watching movies etc it will drain battery very quickly) as long as brightness is set to 40%+-.Also install task killer to automatically kill apps after a certain interval as apps usually run in the background and drains battery.

Contact homeshopping and they might be able to arrange it for you.However i recommend you to wait a few days let battery calibrate 100% and also install Juice Defender and if it still does not provide at least 10 hour uptime then buy extended battery.For apps install juice defender to increase battery uptime - Angry Birds - Tapatalk - BBC News - Advanced Task Killer, Adobe Reader, Air Control, Andro Zip Calculator, Camscanner,Zedge, Dolphin Browser HD , Opera mini (for light browsing on GPRS), Skype etc...Just open market and go to Free Apps Section check top apps and install them - If you like any paid app and want free copy just search on Google app name apk and it will provide you apk file to install the apps (So you get paid apps for free).
