Is Suzuki Raider 110 a fail bike

its not a fail bike !! i dont think so!!! Come on you guys!!! there will be a day when 70 cc will not find a foothold in the market sooner or later.. with a comparable petrol average Honda cd100 and suzuki raider 110 are good options but incomparison to both i find raider better from its new look against CD !00 which is high and heavier than its power...

just went to a dealer in rwp today to see the raider!! Though it is the same engine as sprinter but is dramatically changed with some quality finishing to its tail and front light!!

Something else that i think is better before we make any comparisons!!! Suzuki is much affordable on installments sale as compared to Honda. The honda dealers are ripping off on installment sale here while suzuki has lots of offers on installment purchase and much affordable!!! and since most ppl purchase on installment i think this model has good future...

People serious in buying rides do it on cash..If you are short on credit then your only choice is installment.No way you can undermine the quality and high response rate of Honda customers.These are meagre issues..Let me compare some stuff b/w CD 100 and raider to remove some miscinceptions

Suzuki Raider is a new bike cosmetically changed sprinter to attract people who are more into sporty looks..It looks miserable..Just pit the Raider's tank with the seat..Both seem incompatiple..The tanky should have been downward inclined..Its head lights are gross..Only thing i like about it is the rear brake region..

Raider is a new Bike.It will take alot of time getting customers..Pluse installments are not the only reason people got for a certain bike,there are issues like spares(cheap),Availability of spares in your city,No. of service centers,No. of dealers,no. of qualified mechanics..

If my Bike suddenly fails in the middle of nowhere or even in city you will have to drag yourselff all the way to the nearest suzuki service center which in rwp is only 1.So long the reliability.

Also its spares price is sky high.Spares are not easily available around city..Being a new model even the suzuki service centers will encounter a deficiency in raider's spare.

Raider is 110 cc ,,CD 100 is 97 CC..No way both can have the same amount of consumption...CD 100 excels in economy..

Plus the incoming CD 100 new model will flush out competitors in 100 CC class..

CD 100s road grip is unmatched and unparalleled.Also it enjoys the honour of being one of the best rides in terms of Comfort.

Cd 100 enjoys the highest amount of ownership in 100-110 cc class.

I have tested both models before buying my CD 100..I found CD 100 better in most aspects..

Going just for looks it a very stupid idea..I have seen owners of Ravi Piaggio in my vicinity and had some discussions..They are worried cuz parts availability + service center in Rwp is only one and they cant go nowhere if one is not in their vicinity(in case something happens).

No doubt Raider has low dryweight than CD 100 and is more speedy that i do confirm,,but speed is not the only issue when you buy a ride..

raider aint a fail but ot is outmatched by CD 100 atm...And with the new incoming model CD 100 looks issue would be resolved,

My friend i have used CD 100 for more than a year !!! one has to keep the fuel choke on for more than 5 to 10 km before the bike is warmed enough for a smooth ride and it had this consistent problem with all its users.

hope they have managed to fix it now.

Plus CD100+Deluxe parts are not cheap either>>> and readily available as compared to CD70

CD 100 plastic back fender vs. raider all colored metal front and back not simply chromed!!!

In my opinion!!! Honda has never been an innovator for more than 15 years now in pakistan. Come on these news of new bikes have been around for years and the best they do is come up with a new sticker. Atleast suzuki keeps a sticker atleast two years i checked!!1

Still !!! i don't negate your opinion on the CD100 bike quality ****its a Honda made****thats more than enough**** but with old technology fuel/carburetor technology used in cd70 nearly getting replenished around the world. One should appreciate the efforts of suzuki in brining in different carburetor technology with its bikes.... My point is that people behind suzuki are somewhat on the right track for the future and we need to acknowledge that!!!

One more thing my friend more than 80% of all bikes sold in pakistan are sold on installment sale (a honda dealer claim) and people do look for a better value on installment where i think suzuki stands-out tall !!!

Brother u can see that I didn't say that it's failure and u can see in thread that I asked ( is suzuki raider a fail bike)and I didn't say that it's fail bcoz of engine or body but I said price tag to high that there is a chance of it's not to become successful

Comparing CD 70 with any 100cc make model is gross...CG 125 and CD 70 have been running even before you(may be) born..They have the highest amount of tic tac mechanics and service centers no doubt.+ variety of spares.

Spares of CD 100 ARE RELATIVELY cheaper than Sprinter/same goes for raider.

All motorcycles running in Pakistan are variants of OverHead Camshaft or Overhead Valve(Piaggio) so suzuki with a little different type of carburator(diaphragm Carbrator) still builds 4 stroke air cooled OHC engines..Suzuki is no different than Honda or Yama in terms of innovation..
Yama Junoon was a good bike..Suzuki made fun out of the concept of sporty looks and thrashed it in Raider..Just check out any Indian bike/model make and compare it with any CD,CG,YD,YB or GS we are face-palmed hands down..The new CD 100 model with sporty looks will strengthen its sales..

If you want serious stuff then we want nothing less than Indian Yamaha R15,,Honda CBR 150...They are called bikes!!!with sporty looks..

If Suzuki want to bring something stylish and sporty then they should learn this from the makers of UNIQUE UD100. Do not say RAIDER is able to vanish the 70cc from market. In Karachi, Hyderabad most of people riding decade old CD70s. Do you think they would sale their old trouble free bikes for this so called SPORTY 110cc Raider? Lols answer is "NO"

I agree with devilskreed CD100 parts are much more cheaper then Sprinter and Raider... if you saying meters and head lamp is very stylish then on other hand it wouldn't be as tough as CD100 has so style is not everything quality matters.

Yep I agree price tag is high thats a pitty and yes there are chances of it getting failed ... I have used sprinter with same engine , this engine has some seriuos guts .. but high price will kill it ...

Bhai jaan agar raider achi lagi i can buy another bike right now .Besides i was thinking of getting Piaggio but a friend of mine owning one requested me not to due to deficient service centres and qualified mechs in pindi.Money aint an issue..It is just that i made my decision after carefully considering all aspects regarding Bike maintainence..CD 100 kicks some serious butt..For e.g i need to get my clutch adjusted.I will probably get it fixed tomorrow and my 5s dealer is just 7 Kms away..Also i have tried sprinter..My first feel was like i am driving a rickshaw.When i drove a CD 100 i felt real comfort.Raider has the same engine..So its same as sprinter.

There is a reason why suzuki production vis a vis sales/service centers is 1/4th of Hondas..Honda has 1600+ sales and service centres all around pakistan..You can get an idea ..

And when i said "I see very few in Rwp/Isb..Cant agree more" i meant it...I drive around pindi almost daily on the avg 50-60 Kms per day and i rarely encounter a sprinter..All i see are 60-70% 70 cc's ,,15% 125s,,12% CD 100s,,so far less junoons then CD100,,3% suzukis.

I guess even if the serious stuff is brought to pakistan nobody would buy it, Firstly the prices would be extremely high that goes out of range especially if it is expected from Honda >> prime example is Deluxe which is more than Rs. 115000 and all plastic. Honda CBR would be clearly close to 2 lacs... so i don't think anyone is bringing in indian models here....

Coming back to innovation in technology!! going completely different was not what i was referring in my comment... i was just talking about consistently tweaking the technology!!!! Dramatic innovations are not simple!!! innovation brings in the burden of expensive parts and training mechanics since everyone today is so busy in repairing quick fixes like 70cc they would simply either wouldnt entertain the customers with advanced bikes or would charge higher if they know how to do the maintenance...

Correction please in Rawalpindi/Islamabad mostly riders have CG125 i have been in Rawalpindi the number of CGs always high in lahore/Rawalpindi and upper areas like Abbottabad, Hazara and AJK. These days lots of people buying Deluxe over there because of reliability and comfort its one of rough tough and rugged bike in current market.

old sprinter had the reputation of showing more than actual speed on the meter, if its showing 90 then may be they have fixed the problem. did you try to match its meter with some other sprinter???
