you are arguing on quality of a cheap economy car!!
it wont happen - manufacturers are out to make money - be it a car or someone selling a homemade UPS. The onus of this is on the user who is getting wrong work done on their car, just like if you call an electrician and get him to redo your power panel and he somehow sets it on fire, you wont blame the manufacturer would you?
If the car had a building defect then they can be held responsible - e.g. exposed wiring near spinning assemblies or non weatherpack connectors open to the elements - stuff like that, nitto taping a twisted wire joint in an engine room is simply asking for disaster. Moreso with HID as the ballast steps up the firing voltage to close to 25KV to create a controlled arc in the bulb diffuser, which then produces light.
playing with 25KV is not a piece of cake.
so either the user/owner of the machine needs to go back to school and get an education of common sense or the owner/user needs to rid of the vehicle as they incapable of owning/running one.
