Dear Brothers!
I got an opportunity of internship in late 90s in Honda Atlas cars as i am Engineer by profession.
some of you told that the parts are interchangable bolt to bolt....... yes its true but
Let me clear you all.......
The suspension parts as well as skeleton body codes of Exi & Vti were different verified physically by the thickness of dampers (shock absorbers) as well as dimensions of springs and engine mountings etc.
These are deliberately kept different due to different power to weight ratios, torque and BHPs to cater traction, handling and stability/body role etc. & so in turn the ABS system / steering column also.
same is with corolla 1.8 and 1.3.
I hope i cleared your confusion.
So yes there is a noticeable difference in drive / feel of a 1.8 vs 1.3 Altis.
