Mazda claims an engine life of 150,000 KM which is actually closer to 100,000 KM. Yes you can get a new rotor, surprisingly brand new rotors in Japan just cost about 100K Rupees or 210,000 Yen from Mazda. Bring one in and swap it out

I didn't check da mileage actually but i think that it gives me btween 7 to 9 km/l,,,,i just get da fuel in it n jst run it but its good as far as its mileage is concerned..........da silver mazda is lookin really awesome..........

@ ravenyar as u hav ur rx8..dad is gonna buy me new shape wali vitz in near future so i was saying that agar koi rx8 10 tak ki mil jati to main zara aur wait kar k woh le loon..consumption is around 7km to 9km..but agar 9km ho to fit hai !

I have had about 4 RX 7's and two RX 8's, still driving one.I have never had any Engine problem with them.If you can afford only use High Octane Fuel, A quick oil change preferably synthetic along with Oil Filters.The only reason for the cheap price is Low DUTY.
agree with ikj , high octane fuel and full synthetic oil is the key, they are pretty reliable, besides change the motor instead of fixing it, they are cheap.
