For complete picture if a person drives his car to work for 30 kms. 5 days a week so it will be 600 kms in a month. He will have to pay 1560 rupees more than previously and that's assuming his car is giving average of 10 km/l whereas mostly new and small cars give more average than this.

Your govt makes all recoveries of additional taxes over the shoulders of common citizen and never over their own selves, their own selves meaning the fat cats owning agri land, or heavy subsidy industries etc.

For previous months
You can see they are not increasing petroleum levy which is basically the tax you are talking about

It is stuck at 55 or maybe 60 rupees per liter
I have already shared price breakdown for previous petrol increases here

The taxes on petrol is not increasing as you can see in this.

Prices are only increasing because international price increase and rupees depreciation
